Wonderspaces Philly is back. The interactive, self-guided exhibit is back with some new exhibits. This is the spot to be to experience art like you have never seen before. If you have been following the blog, I have been to Wonderspaces Philly a number of times. The new exhibits along with the bar being back open are definite new treats.
Covid-19 Safe
Upon entering Wonderspaces, you are asked to sign a waiver. You must also have your mask on you the entire time. This is to help keep yourself and those around you safe. With attending the media event, there were no exceptions made to this rule. It was great seeing others All tickets are only available online. You must purchase them prior to coming. Also in the bar debit or credit cards only-no cash. There are limited visitors during time slots. Even for the media event we had to select a time to attend as well. There are increased hand sanitizer stations throughout the exhibit areas. Come early enough to sign your waiver and have a great time. To see my reel of the recap make sure you click on it.
Dinner Party
This is a Virtual Reality sit down experience. This was one of my favorites when it first opened. I am glad to see that its back. This is by Charlotte Stoudt. You sit down and really enjoy the visuals, that the Virtual Reality showcases. I wouldn’t count this out as this isn’t your normal dinner party.
Erupture
This is so beautiful, white and being in it made me feel such a calm. I needed that since I was rattled prior to coming in with just parking. Erupture is by Nicole Banowetz. Its breathing and stunning. Erupture is the best way to describe it.
The Bar is Back
New this time around is that you get a keepsake glass. The drinks pack a punch. The are delicious. The staff that served us, Alex was absolutely amazing. I don’t know the amount of people at the media event, but there were about 30 people in our line. She worked the bar all by herself. So if you go and you see Alex, tip her well she’s phenomenal. The drink I had was the Dragons Berry. It only had a hint of sweetness and was absolutely delicious. Also the drink as a keepsakes you can’t walk around and drink. There is the bar and some seating adjacent to enjoy it. The bartender will hold it as you walk through the exhibit. There are pens to write your name so no one takes it.
Micromonumental Mapping, The Essence of Creation
My picture below doesn’t do t justice. The way that this implodes in person is absolutely stunning and crazy at the same time. I stood there in awe. It’s definitely worthy of you making your own interruption. This is by Limelight.
Submergence
There are 16 total exhibits total. They are all beautiful, interactive in some way, but the one I love the most is Submergence by Squidshop. It something about the light show makes me feel. Its encompassing and beautiful at the same time. I love to spend as much time as I can watching the light show sparkle. It’s one of the first things you see if you come to Wonderspaces mall side. It’s spectacular and eye catching.
There is so much to see and to touch. Remember to wear your masks and use the hand sanitizer. You will need an hour at best to go through the exhibit. I have taken my kids several times. My youngest is 7 if there’s any guidance on ages. If you kids are able to walk comfortably they can enjoy the exhibits. You can get your tickets as well as follow them on Instagram as they sometimes update announcements regarding time changes etc. there.
Thank you to Wonderspaces and Aversa PR for having us. I can’t wait to make this a family oriented activity to enjoy. Also its located inside of the Fashion District Mall so if there are cold or rainy days, this is a great way to get out and enjoy.
