We have some amazing women stepping up to the plate this year. Some who have never done anything like being vulnerable a day in their lives. I love it. We always have a story to tell. When I first initially asked for women to step up many said what could I talk about. My response was anything and everything. We are all connected. We have similar fears, similar joys, and a lot of times are too afraid to share because the thought of the unknown is hard.
Women Are Resilient
What I have learned is about the resilience of women. We are going to talk about that this month. That is the theme the resilience of women. We deal with a lot from lack of equal pay, to having to always watch our back from sexual advances, to near death experience having or delivering kids, to being in control of our sexuality, etc. the list can and will go on.
It’s amazing how much women have on their plates and yet single or married we are expected to be “on.” Look beautiful and give this presence that we never make mistakes, etc. and yet show love to those who don’t even show love to ourselves. I get exhausted just typing about it. Yet we are some if not the strongest. Taking it all in and trying to be the best that we can be even when it seems impossible to see our future selves.
Uplifting Women
We are women who are quick to down ourselves because we spend so much time playing a comparison game. We all have something to offer this world and there’s enough space and room to accommodate all our gifts and talents. So, to every woman who is reading this is our time to shine more this month than we already do. Smile. Put on the best lipstick and know that our contributions are amazing and necessary.
To every woman who second guesses yourself, don’t! If there is something on your heart and mind, do it. If there is something you have always wanted to try, try it. Even if there’s a new talent that you have but are scared to show, take a deep breath and show it. You will be surprised what gesture of hope and love you may share to others.
Goals for Women’s History Month
What I hope in this month is to show you some amazing and dope women who are here defying odds. They have been the ones who tried something and was afraid of that leap. Women are conquering hard decisions and no longer wanting to stand in the shadows of anyone. They are formulating their steps into what it is to be them and being the best version of themselves. I know for many of them they have had things drop out of their lives and had to re-invent themselves just like I have had to do. Its hard to see positivity when it seems like darkness is overtaking your steps. I am truly honored to be the person to bring these women to the forefront. I am honored to be the leader who made the call.

What did Women Invent?
There are a million and one inventions, discussions, and doors opened that women have contributed to and we need to learn more about them and their contributions daily since what they have done has made our lives better.
I salute every woman not just this month but every day! May we be the amazing women who raise the women we want in this world.
To My Daughters
To my daughters: I love you and hope that I am the type of mother who’s love wraps you in the darkest hours. I want you to know that there is nothing you can’t do. There is no can’t in our vocabulary. We have the power to make our own lanes and bring another woman along with us. Whatever you set forth for you to do, I will be there supporting you every state of the way! I love you and I can’t wait to see what you contribute to this world.
