Blogiversary: Goals Coming Up

Can you believe this November made 10 years of blogging? I can’t. What started as an ideal from friends and family has turned into a full business. Goes to show you that something small can grow.  Oh what a ride it has been. From the uncertainty to the confidence this has been truly a work of art. I love how far this blog has come. More blogs telling it like it is. You will see more vulnerability and making this into a true community. Thank you for all your continued support. From my tribe who came out and showered me with love and support-thank you.

Peddler’s Village-Fire and Frost Fub

Peddler’s Village, a countryside shopping, dining, lodging, and family entertainment destination in the heart of historic Bucks County, PA, will be themed the “Village of Chocolate” in February, with chocolate-infused restaurant specials, culinary events,  Valentine’s Day prix fixe menus, Chocolate-Covered Workshops on February 16, and a Village Chocolate Trail from February 14-16.

In addition to Valentine’s Day dining with special menus on February 14 and 15, three restaurants at Peddler’s Village will be hosting special chocolate-themed dinners in February: Earl’s New American is presenting a four-course Chocolate & Wine Dinner on Thursday, February 6 at 6:00 pm, Hart’s Tavern will host a Chocolate & Beer Dinner in partnership with the Bucks County-based brewery.

Free Will Brewing on Thursday, February 13 at 6:00 pm, and the Cock ‘n Bull will be presenting a four-course Chocolate & Whiskey Dinner on Thursday, February 20 at 6:00 pm. Reservations and tickets are required for all dining events.

On Sunday, February 16, guests who register for the Chocolate-Covered Workshops will learn how to temper, melt, mold, and paint chocolate treats. The event will be led by Kim Pietrak of Skip’s Candy Corner, a shop in Peddler’s Village, as well as Kandy Hughus from Kelly’s Kandy. Guests of all ages can register on the Peddler’s Village website.

 

Ensemble Philly Arts

Ensemble Arts Philly and The Shubert Organization are thrilled to announce the return of the engaging and welcoming hit musical, Come From Away, at the Academy of Music from February 4–9, 2025. This engagement is a part of the 2024–25 Broadway Season.  

Come From Away tells the remarkable story of 7,000 stranded passengers and the small town in Newfoundland that welcomed them. Cultures clashed and nerves ran high, but uneasiness turned into trust, music soared into the night, and gratitude grew into enduring friendships.  

On September 11, 2001, the world stopped. On September 12, their stories moved us all.
