Happy Wednesday. I hope this mid week check in finds you in the best place possible. This morning I woke up rejuvenated and refreshed. I have been intentional about going to be on time, eating breakfast, and taking my vitamins. In the Fall I am my most focused. It’s something about the weather changes that makes me want to finish the year super strong. So let’s talk about wellness in terms of how we can make the best of our time and week.
Wednesday Wellness Talk
I hope that you are getting enough nutrients that you need on a daily basis. I have been making sure that I stick to my regiment as I have increased my daily exercise. This Summer I went on a running sabbatical. I got sad when I realized how deep into run season and how I haven’t trained for not one single one. The feelings of guilt came over me strong. However instead of giving into it, I plan to use it as fuel to forge ahead. I may not be run season ready but that doesn’t mean I have to stop running altogether. Isn’t that how guilt works? Comes on strong and tells you where you are inadequate. You play the blame game and then just simply stop? Not today. I am encouraging you to keep on going. Keep moving even if that means many resets.
Reset and Shift Wednesday Look Ahead
So now that are we talking about resets let me remind you of what that is. A reset is something we practice with our family. This means getting everyone in our home to realize that you can have a bad moment any time. Bad moments do not need to linger. You don’t have to wait until the next day to correct yourself or responses. This is a great way to teach our kids how to recover themselves even when they aren’t around us. We are real with them. Sometimes in your bad moment you can’t take back the moment. You’re not able to fix those around you to be on your team. However, you can reset your mind, conversation, thoughts, and more to continue to show up as your best self. If you are in need of that reset take it.
When I learned to have a good relationship with food, I would well I didn’t have a good breakfast I’ll try tomorrow. I learned that all I had to do was at my next meal whether it was a snack or lunch to make a better decision. I didn’t need to wait for a whole other day. I had the moment to make a better decision right then and there.
Back to School
We made it to their first day and first week. They are off now starting tomorrow for a few days. However we had an amazing day. I am so blessed and happy. With the kids starting a new school in a different district I was concerned. As parents you want to make sure that you are doing the right thing for your child or children. My kids smile their first day was comforting that we were on the right track. So with that being said I pray all of the children that are going back to school continue to have a great and safe year.
Labor Day Plans
I have a lot going on this Labor Day. I am praying for a safe weekend. I am nervous as I have some media events. Now that I have experienced issues at outdoor events I have to be honest, I am super nervous. Wondering if all will be well. So keep me in mind this weekend. Why am I keep going? I don’t want the bad behavior of a few stop me from doing what I love. This Labor day I will also see some of my extended family members too, rest, and enjoy a cocktail or two. Stay safe this weekend.
Media Events
They are still happening this week I will do a formal update on them on Friday’s check in. I can tell you that this week’s media events are going to be truly a fun week of catching up with some of my favorite content creators!
