This review is all on Volvér which is another amazing restaurant under the Garces Group umbrella. Garces Group doesn’t miss when it comes to excellence in their dining experience. Once again I dined with Elle of Siponwhat.
Volvér’s Snacks
I love a good snack or an appetizer. Snacks before your meal can make or break your dining experience. I ordered the Roasted Pepper Hummus. This full of flavor hummus was served with the most amazing chickpeas, herb chimmichurri, radish, and pollen lavish. Absolutely delicious from my first bite to the last. The king of flavors that make you request more not because you are hungry, but due to not wanting the goodness to stop!
Entrées at Volvér
I choose to enjoy Perilla Mushroom with the Forbidden rice, and collard lu’au. If my parents meant for me to eat the colors of the rainbow like this I might have started much earlier. This colorful amazement was so good I kept asking what they seasoned them with. Chef Kiki Aranita made this dish to be the best hint I’ve eaten in a long time. I eat out often as I review dining experiences. Volvér over-exceeded my expectations.
Brown Butter Choux Puff
There’s always room for dessert when at Volvér. I had the Brown Butter Choux Puff. Can we take a moment to admire just the plate:
The plate alone had me in love even before I ate. I had never seen such a stunning plate as this. I just couldn’t stop taking pictures. The way the gold leaves blossomed off it made my whole eye sparkle. It’s not often food is described in that manner. The Choux Puff tasted as great as it was plated.
Rose Gold
A great drink can start your experience on the right foot. I remember when I first began drinking cocktails. I only liked or desired the sweeter ones. Now I like a good blend. The Rose Gold made with Tito’s Vodka, Rosemary, Passion Fruit and Bitters was a perfect combination of sweet and unsweetened. It’s perfectly aesthetic and has the best portion of Tito’s.
Pedro Ximénez
After dinner wines are my thing as I gotten older. I used to just drink wine or cocktails for the remainder of my experience. I’m growing. With that growth is learning more about wines and how to pair them. The Pedro Ximénez paired with my Choux Pull.
Dining Options
Volvér is your date night spot. A great spot to meet up with friends to celebrate accomplishments or offer congratulations. This is a little more of an upscale restaurant so dress to impress. In addition leave the kids home for this one. I didn’t see a kids menu nor would I suggest anyone to bring a younger kid crowd either. Definitely plan to take my husband as we have our end of the year date night to celebrate all of our wins for the year.
I was highly impressed. We were well taken care of by the staff. I have nothing bad to say about this experience. Volvér is located inside of the Kimmel Center. Volvér even has a menu for those who are coming as a before or after show treat. You will absolutely enjoy yourself. Make sure to make reservations because it definitely fills up fast.
Volvér doesn’t have a take out or order for home option. This is simply an eat in experience that can’t be messed with at home. So come dressed well, be ready to eat, and enjoy the Volvér experience!
A special thank you to the staff at Volvér as well as Aversa PR for the experience. Also make sure you watch my Reel for the video recap!
