Valley Forge Tourism Arts Montco Week and Jazz Festival Day trip was absolutely amazing. We took a bus trip in Montgomery County visiting, The American Treasure, Cork and Candles, and lastly dined at Davio’s for a day trip that was full of fun and memories. All of this is to see what else you can add to your itinerary as you attend the Jazz festival featuring acclaimed vocalist Joanna Pascale. The theme is Women in Jazz so there will be many venues that will feature amazing women vocalist and jazz artist.

American Treasure Tour
This was one of the most unique places I have ever been. It’s one of the world’s largest toy and trinket museum. You will be able to take a tram ride to see some of the most iconic dolls, and gems that I haven’t seen since I was a kid and things that outdate me. There are things from clown collection, nostalgic dolls, pop culture, and more. What I liked about it is to learn that what one person sees as trash has been turned into a full museum of the ages. I wished that I had brought my grandparents. This would have ignited stories for sure. The one-person owner is an anonymous man who continues to this day to update the space adding things as he acquires it. Keep in mind most of the items you see in this large space was in his home.
The American Treasure Museum located in Oaks Pa which is a few minutes from King of Prussia and is a mere moment from so many local cities such as Reading and Lancaster. I had my daughter with me, and we kept talking about the things that we both were seeing. Having to explain things like home phones which are more ancient to her generation with the vision of cell phones and more.
Cork and Candles
I love visiting Cork and Candles. This is a self-care haven. From the ability to craft your candle from vessel and fragrance it is one of my favorites by far. Now I have visited many times. From a girl’s weekend, to one-on-one time with a friend I am always enamored by the ability for Cork and Candles to craft many new things every time I arrive.
A benefit while at the King of Prussia location is the ability to order food, bring in your own bottles of wine, and connect. The staff is hands on too. They will make sure that you enjoy your time. You can also host a party or celebration while making a candle. I have gone as a celebration of a friend, and they took great care of me. I will be visiting the Philadelphia location within the next month too. Another benefit is that there is plenty of parking.
Davio’s
Nothing is complete than touring around Montgomery County like Davio’s for lunch. We had a blast. They curated a menu that consisted of Family style appetizers of Davio’s meatballs, and a sampler of spring rolls. My daughter let me know that the chicken parmesan spring roll was her favorite. She is anxious to go back. We also had a choice of Arugula or Caesar salad. Our main course choices were Penne Bolognese, Hand-rolled potato gnocchi, or Atlantic Salmon. For dessert we ended our time with miniature pastries, fresh fruit tart, chocolate truffle cake, and a cannoli. Everything was delicious. This was not the first time I have dined at Davio’s. Their menu is always changing in a fantastic way. I have gone during Valentine’s Day or even Restaurant week. Not once have I ever been disappointed.
If you love cocktails or mocktails they had an amazing assortment. My daughter enjoyed her mocktails many of them brining in the taste of fall with things like apple. On the other hand, I kept my cocktails with the same liquor of Vodka. Each drink was made well, and I highly suggest trying either kind.
