If you love Christmas lights and Christmas joy you will love Tinseltown Holiday Spectacular. A walking Christmas light show for all ages is at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, PA. From now until January 2nd bring the family and make a new holiday tradition. This immersive holiday display is a holiday treat as it has food, drinks, shopping, Santa and a faux skating ring and lots more.
Light Show Love
This walking light show is everything you can expect and more. From the larger than life snow flakes to teddy bears Tinseltown has it all. I went to their media preview and took the kids a few days later. The second we went to round the corner to park my kids mouth dropped and all I heard was, “Mommy wow!” It is a spectacle to see. The whole area is illuminated. For my Philadelphia sports fan there are some amazing light displays as well.
Meet Santa
Your little ones and big kids at heart will enjoy meeting Santa. Pictures are available for purchase. One of the things that was missing last year might have been some Santa cheer but Tinseltown has you covered. Make sure when you’re inside or any of the tents that you wear your mask. Otherwise it’s an open display and you can be maskless should you choose.
Reading Time with Mrs. Claus
Who doesn’t love a good book? Mrs. Clause takes the time to read to the children a book of their collaborated choice. At the time of our visit Mrs. Clause read The Gingerbread Man. She has all of the energy that one would have expect.
Wagging Wednesday
If you love bringing your dog Wednesday is your day. Bring your dog on this day. Be courteous to others while there and practice safe dog practices as there will be children present.
Winter Wonderland and Treats
As you’re walking around you are may work up an appetite. Enjoy some tasty treats as you enjoy the lights. There is Tinsel Lodge.
A dedicated lodge of treats and drinks. From classic Philly cheesesteaks to Funnel cake there’s a treat for everyone.
Also you can’t go wrong with holiday favorites like hot chocolate. For those 21 and over there is an array of cocktails and spiked drinks to enjoy as well.
Gritty Thursdays
Who doesn’t love Gritty? Gritty is the official mascot for the Philadelphia Flyers. He’s a lovable ball of personality. On Thursdays come and meet him with your family. When he’s not here on Thursdays you can take a picture with his illuminated light display.
Ice Skating
There is nothing more like a Winter Wonderland than ice skating. At Tinseltown they have synthetic rink. All of the same joys are there. You can rent the skates or use a skate aid.
Holiday Tradition
Start a new tradition by visiting Tinseltown Holiday Spectacular. There are a lot of photo spots to take. Beer and drink lodges as well as fire pits to keep you warm. It’s an experience that you and your family won’t forget.
