Big Idea Committee is ready to spread some unique musical talents and my family and I are ready. I have 3 kids and this music is geared towards 3-8 years old. However my 10 year old, definitely had no issues singing along. Parents we know that the music our kids listen to means we too take it in. Big Idea Committee is bringing the songs to life live to West Chester on June 21 on the first day of Summer.
The Big Idea Committee’s Catchy Tunes
You are going to want to take an adventure with Christine Petrini and Melissa Brun. Both women as well as their cello will bring an immersive singing experience for the whole family. All parents know the best way to reinforce an idea is to do it through song. The songs are amazing in every way. I played it in my home without warning to get the real reaction. My 8 year old daughter asked me why I was playing her music. In her mind, this was songs for her and not me. However I kept singing them with her because we were able to catch on pretty quickly.
The Big Idea Committee’s Neve Rosamarie
I personally like this song. It’s about getting kids to not just take an adventure but the ways in which you would be adventurous in various terrains. My daughter kept changing her name to include herself in the song. The song really allows creative thinking. We paused it to think about the things that she would need to go swimming into places like the Gulf of Mexico. She even went and grabbed her snorkels to mimic. Music has a way of elevating your world.
Spring
Spring was my daughter’s favorite. She loves to sing. This was an easy song with amazing pitch and my daughter loves with these types of arrangements. Spring talks about all of the things that Spring brings. Like sounds, wetness, and more. The music is different that gets you up and moving. Kids music has a way to do that. Adults could learn from this movement too. I mean that in the way that kids just let the music move them without judging themselves harshly. Petrini and Brun have a way to helping each song open a new level of curiosity.
