So if you have been following me you know how serious I’ve been about quarantine and social distancing. I’m not playing games because I know even with all of the separation anything can happen. With that my Summer Camp series that I do with my kids has been on hold.
Stay Home to Be Safe
We have made ourselves a bubble by being at home. We haven’t deviated from it. Just this past weekend we have finally started to emerge outside of our homes. I felt bad for my children. However I know that being “stuck” at home is really about being “safe” at home. How has that helped or deterred my blog? Not at all! Do you know how much content you can make from home? All of it! Outside of attending events and going to restaurants etc. my content wasn’t about events alone. I’m the blogger who will speak her mind about all things with life. My children have felt the pinch these last couple of months like many other children. As things opened up we still stayed home and have been monitoring the experts. We have made all kinds of fun but nothing beats a good swim on a hot day!
Swimply to the Rescue
There have been mixed reviews about water play and Covid-19. As of recent it has been encouraged that even water and swimming should cease. I believe it has more to do with the lack of social distancing in pools and beaches. I adore being in water. I love swimming, sitting near a pool or on a beach. I even take a personal day to get out to the beach alone. So not only are kids taking a hit so are the adults. So I catch word through an amazing referral to Swimply. Swimply is like the Airbnb of pools. It works the same way. Book, enjoy, and follow the rules but it’s for swimming pools. I was a little apprehensive but I decided why not!
Best Swim Day Ever
The booking is easy. You enter your address, how many adults and children and any other amenities that matter to your purpose! We of course wanted to do a family swim. A little note: once you book you can’t go back and change it. It wasn’t pricey. A pool is reserved and paid for with the app. You get to show up on the time and date and enjoy a private swim on someone else’s property. Again I say it works like an Airbnb.
My Rating
I give my experience like an A+. I would book not just with Swimply but with the same host. It’s apprehensive at thought to book and show up to swim but that’s how it worked. My host was hands down the absolute best. They treated us like family if not better. We swam for 3 hours in total peace and sun. My children have no idea how I pull these things off but as a mom I loved seeing their smiles. We didn’t tell them until the night before. We had our masks to go there and once in the pool we took them off. We brought wipes to wipe things down. The pool we used was super clean and beautiful. I had not one issue! A private swim for our family was above and beyond our expectations.
Best Mom of the Year
My kids loved that I was okay for them to take the swim. They had a full ball. All I heard was laughing, squeals, and fun. I loved it too. I enjoyed the sun on my skin. For those 3 hours, I let my entire guard down. I didn’t want to worry about Covid-19, stress, back to school plans, etc.
So yes I definitely high five Swimply and give them the highest recommendation. If my family and I aren’t able to continue any other events outside of the week long events (off and on) that have been social distanced, we can definitely say we had an amazing time!
Oh and in case you’re needing a little referral use this!
