Happy Sunday. We are in the final stages of back to school. Tomorrow is my kids first day. We have been talking to them about their anxiety since they are going to a new school this year. If you missed Wednesday’s blog we talked about wellness goals. Specifically vitamins and nutrients with Nurish by Nature Made.. I am preparing for the Fall in other ways and I want to encourage you to do the same.
Sunday Joys
I love Sundays. Even if I have a busy morning like I did today. It’s always a great thing to wake up to that Sunday feeling. Coffee tastes so much better on days like today. So my joys is being able to enjoy another Sunday Funday. For today the goal is to let the kids have a relaxing day. I am organizing the supplies one final time, pack the bags, and more. We want them to enjoy the day and relax in whatever way they see.
Establishing that zone in the house is important so that they can go to bed and start their day on the right foot. What are your personal joys today? Make sure that you take some time to write them down. Why is this a good practice? When hard times comes, I love to look in my gratitude journal for the days and moments I tend to forget how good things have been.
It’s a simple reminder of that when dark times comes, good times will always return. There are seasons in our lives when we simply have no energy to write in our gratitude journal. Those are the times when simply attempting to make is at bare minimum. Plant the seed of gratitude and keep its a bank.
Fall Preparation
It may be too early to talk about Fall but its on its way. You need to develop a plan of getting or staying fit. So this means sign up for a new class. Low on cash? There are plenty of classes you can take on YouTube that if you stay consistent can help. In this day of technology, there’s no skill you can’t accomplish online. We already on our phone, might as well make it work for us, right? For instance if you want something you can do on your phone in the form of an app, use FitOn. It’s always free. Again using our phone for good reasons.
Seasonal Changes in your Life
Beyond Fall that is around the corner, keep in mind you in your personal life go through changes too. For instance when school starts in our house the season of focusing comes into play. I tend to move out of a Summer mind. We tend to be more focused on goals. Our house comes into a routine and calm that helps everyone in our home do more. I hope the same for you. I tend to get back harder into my meal prepping each week. As far as my schedule I have to be more definite with it to avoid burnout and to accomodate my kids schedules with school, sports, and Girl Scouts.
Sunday Focus
We all know Sunday is the beginning of the week. If you use today to prepare for your work week, do so with intention. What are the things that when you are getting ready for your day that trips you up. For instance I made some breakfast ahead of time for the kids. I get up before my family to set out the water bottles, vitamins, and more. Having breakfast done it’s one less things to think about.
I set the smoothies in the blender so that one of the kids can run it. Also have things like sausages, eggs, made so in the morning I can set the waffles in the air fryer and everyone can eat. I set cereal at grabbing level and oatmeal out for those who want it. All of this make it as easy grab and eat type of movement.
Dinners are prepared early even if it is just the meats. If I need to add something in the crock pot, I add it in before I wake up the kids. Again moving in a way that makes best use of my time. Clothes are prepared and set out. This eliminates issues in the morning too. Even though the kids have uniforms if you don’t set all of the things they will need you will hear the dreaded words, I don’t have this or that and trust me you don’t need that as you are trying to get out of the door. Although this seems like a lot it’s what works for our home. Find what works best for you.
Sunday Funday
I usually allow myself to set a certain time to prepare so I can use the rest of the time to be able to have a little down time. This could be in meeting up with a friend, going to the movies, family time, or simply relaxing. Make sure to carve some down time in your world today. Sunday Funday doesn’t have to be expensive or expansive. Make it as big or small as you want it to be.
So yes Sunday Scaries are serious. No one wants the weekend to end. However it’s important to find peace, rest, and make the best of your amazing week. Crush your goals this week and we will be back for Monday Motivation tomorrow.
