Renault Winery Winter Wonderland

Last Friday I took a little road trip to Renault Winery located in Egg Harbor, New Jersey. I went in with no expectations as a winery is absolutely something that I love to attend. Renault Winery welcomed us and hosted us with nothing but pure hospitality and excellence that I have ever experienced. The Winter Wonderland is happening now until February 27, 2022.

Why Renault Winery?

Not all wineries are equal. Renault Winery has been committed to excellence since 1864. Their fine wines and champagnes are at the top of their class. Their winery itself has history. Louise Nicholas Renault left France to come to California to save the vines before finding his home in Egg Harbor. One thing about France is they are the capital of wines. Having been to Paris a few years ago, I can attest how wonderful their wines are in comparison to American wines at times. Renault Winery is the only winery in the U.S. that can call their sparking wine, Champagne.

Hospitality of Renault Winery

I arrived to the winery almost an hour past the check in time. I took the kids so naturally life with children in tow can go up and down. When I arrived I was greeted and my children were handed hot chocolate and cookies. So for a mom win-I definitely won. I was able to hear the speeches about Renault Winery and the owners really love and have a passion in keeping the winery well established. We were given tours of the facilities while drinking amazing wine of course. I loved the Festival of Trees. All of these Christmas trees are individually decorated and captivating.

Kids and Wineries

Why would I have taken my children to a winery? Normally I wouldn’t. However at the Winter Wonderland it’s children approved. There is a lot they can do. My children absolutely loved our time together. There are foods and treats that they loved. Also ice skating is available too. While I sipped wine and they had their hot chocolate we really enjoyed the fresh air and fun. Renault Winery is a family focused so bring the children. There are several events coming up such as Stories with Santa. Be sure to keep track as their events page is full of events for everyone.

Dining at Renault Winery

We enjoyed some amazing food trucks that are outside to enjoy. There is soups, burgers, chilis, etc that you can enjoy. My children enjoyed the chicken and fries the most and the Bang Bang shrimp. So if you love food trucks there are endless amounts of options. While outside you can eat while eating in rented cabanas, igloos, or near fire pits.

There is also indoor dining as well. The indoor dining does have more options as well. I honestly didn’t think about if the kids wanted to eat inside but they did. When I tell you that none of us left hungry I mean it. The hospitality that Renault showed was tremendous. My kids left Renault Winery with treats as well. There is a treat hut called  Café La Fleur. There are macarons, cupcakes, elf crunch, brownies, cookies and more. The pricing is easy on the pockets and the quality definitely better than most locations you will visit.

Tasting Hut at Renault Winery

There is a tasting hut that is also connected to the booth to get your skates for ice skating. The tasting hut is stunning. Beautiful and cozy you can try wines and champagnes of your choice or even purchase a bottle to take home. The hospitality there is one of the best that I have seen and I have visited quite a few wineries and NONE have topped Renault Winery.  One of the best Champagnes is the Blueberry one. It is one of the best Champagnes I have ever had. Runner up is the Rosé Champagne as well.

What to Expect?

Its a big and beautiful winery that has something for everyone. Live entertainment for those who love hearing live shows. There is also ice skating. Have a private cabana or warm igloo as you dine and drink wine. Plenty of fresh air and inside dining as well.  Eat well, try new wines, drink wine as you walk around, have a great time and bring families together.

Do NOT miss the Winter Wonderland. I personally plan to take my husband who wasn’t able to attend. My children talked so highly of it they didn’t even know it was a winery. When I asked them where we had been they said at Winterfest. That worked for me. Make sure you get to Renault Winery as well as let me know of your own experience. Also Renault Winery is affordable. You can enjoy your time and not spend a lot of money but also get the best in wines and champagnes. Take a road trip as its located about an hour away from Philadelphia. Also they have their own hotel so now can drink and stay overnight too.
