Mental Wellness and Self Care Queen

The Philly eatery series is back! We are back with a few new eateries that I have enjoyed in the last few weeks. I promise to not let this have so much space in between. I always get asked what I liked about each restaurant that I have attended and more. This is a way to break it down according to my recommendations of whether you should go and with whom.

Vince’s Pizzeria in Northeast Philadelphia

This is a family style pizza shop that sells pizzas and strombolis. They have been in business for about 60 years. They are a cash and carry spot so no mobile or credit card payments are accepted. As soon as you walk in it gives me the same feeling of some of the best pizzas I had when I was in Lancaster PA. They are an average size pizza shop that has plenty of seating for families or when friends gather. It is located in North East Philly and has quite a selection of pizza pies and stromboli offerings. So if you are ever in the Northeast or if you want to try something different I suggest you go there.

In addition I recommend this for family time. While there I observed the type of eater and I was happy to see people from all walks of life and they were diverse.

Ramen Eatery in Philly: Momoka Ramen

I enjoyed this ramen experience. I wouldn’t rank it my top ramen spot. However it is a solid spot. The theme inside is Anime and I really enjoyed seeing it be carried out all of the way through. The customer service was exquisite. The offerings from ramen and platter as it is a Japanese ramen and street food eatery made for a great date night. My husband and I attended and although he’s not a ramen eater he enjoyed his skirt steak platter nicely. Their bubble tea is the best that I have had. I was able to add popping tea boba in there as well. We ended our night with some strawberry and vanilla mochi. I love that they had great chili pepper flakes to help spice it up a bit especially the vegetable ramen that I had.

I recommend taking a ramen loving friend or even a one on one with your child too. My kids love ramen and anime and this would be their spot. Trust me on this.

Bake’n Bacon

If you love bacon you will love Bake’n Bacon. They are now serving brunch Saturdays and Sundays from 9-2am. I can tell you that they take great pride in all that they prepare. I appreciate that they also have amazing cocktails. Their bartenders love what they do and it shows. They are offering brunch cocktails that are naughty in nature. The ones that we tried that was called Morning Wood and Lick my peach. With the Lick my peach you are to lick the outer ring and drink the drink. Trust me when I tell you that the combination is unbeatable.

For those who aren’t fans of bacon and are vegans or vegetarians, they have you covered too. This is one restaurant where all eaters are welcome. Can’t make it for brunch or just want to give them a try, go on Wednesdays for their happy hour. You will not be disappointed.

Anejo Philly-Bottomless Brunch Eatery

I am not a stranger to Anejo Philly. Since their opening before the pandemic I have been supporting them. During the pandemic I really found them to be one of my go tos. I recently enjoyed their new brunch menu. They have an all you can drink brunch (limit 90 minutes). It includes, Sangria, Bloody Mary, Margarita and a Mimosa. The menu also includes all you can eat guacamole, salsa and French toast. You can also add other brunch items ala carte. I would suggest the shrimp and grits. The flavors are too delicious. I would suggest this for a great brunch experience as well as date night. Since I went to the brunch we turned around and celebrated our wedding anniversary there too.

Well that is all I have for not. Follow along online on Instagram and TikTok for more videos and behind the scenes in my stories. This week I will also feature Blondie in Manayunk because their brunch is worthy of a feature. Stay tuned to this Thursday.
