Devon Seafood Grill

I have been to Devon Seafood Grill before. I can say that this time I was impressed. The food selections have seemed to have improved. In addition to the menu options is the way in which you are served. Their new Spring menu is definitely worth a trip. From increased appetizers, to experiences like A5 Wagyu cooked on hot rocks at your table and so much more to explore. Myself and Phillyfoodandbarrs had plenty of options to try from a lot of palates. I really enjoyed their sushi options too.

If you are celebrating a birthday or anniversary this would be a great spot to do so. The interior decoration is really simple but elegant. You will love the ambiance. Add this to your happy hour listing too. The drinks are made with much care and balanced. Would I bring my kids? Yes and No. Yes if I was going for a special occasion. There is something on the menu for them. No if I was going to dine casually. I think kids here should be reserved for adults. This is not to say that if a kid came in that it would be bad. My personal preference is to save date night restaurants to date night only. It is located at 225 South 18th Street, Philadelphia PA 19103.

Amada Radnor

If you have ever been to Amada you know how beautiful and comfortable the ambiance really is. From the soft decor to the welcoming vibes Amada is your one stop shop for tapas. I enjoyed their newest offering, Tapas and Vino. This is from 5-9 every Wednesday. During this time you can get a bottle of  preselected  red wine. The tapas is $49 per person. You get so much for that price that it is well worth it.

In addition you will love the ambiance as soon as you step in. Park your car on your own or have it valet. This is a spot that again I would take my kids as a sit down experience for a special occasion.  Kids are welcome as always but I would dare say go with a friend or love interest and ask yourself if you want that to mess up their eating experience. There is also music from Flamenco Guitar.

So where are you going for Wine Down Wednesday? Amada has a great selection outside of wine down Wednesday. I would take my children. Amada in Radnor is located at 555 East Lancaster Avenue, Lower Level 100, Wayne PA 19087.

PJ Clarke’s

If you love sitting outside and drinking on the patio this is a great place to be. The drinks are outstanding. In addition their indoor seating is beautiful too. The decor that mixes so many reds and wood really doesn’t do it justice from the pictures taken. Their oysters are probably the best around the city. We toured PJ Clarke’s and I was impressed. They also make one of the strongest Olde Fashions I have ever drank.

I could see myself taking the kids if I was invited to celebrate a special occasion. For me especially I like to include them to places that ae more welcoming to children.   I will say that their offerings do align with the things that my kids would eat out.  PJ Clarke’s at the Curtis is located at 601 Walnut Street, Philadelphia PA 19106.

Sushi by Bou

This omakase is one of a kind. It mixes the freshest combinations of sushi with a hip hop vibe. From the time the 1 one hour journey the flavors will marinate and cause an explosion of goodness in your mouth. Your party must be present before you are seated. However that one hour will go fast. The food is made right in front of you and I can’t express how much it transforms you to a place where sushi is king and you are queen. Enjoy the offerings.

Would I take the kids? NO. Leave this for adults only. The vibe is speakeasy and sushi marinated together. So make this for your real sushi loving friends and family. The atmosphere is grown adult like. It is located inside of the Sushi Suite in Fishtown. The address is 1832 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia PA 19125.

Space Smash Philly-Eateries that is kid approved

This is your sign to take the kids and enjoy your time. We went to Legoland Discovery and afterward worked up quite an appetite. Space Smash reached out to us to come and give them a try. I have had their mac and cheese before from Brooklyn Mac. The ghost kitchen has now moved and made its home in Plymouth Meeting. The food is 100% good. There is something for everyone. My kids loved it so much that my oldest has requested that we go there for her birthday that is coming up soon. We were treated with such great care. As always I didn’t identify who I was and the customer service was excellent.
