The New Year will be here before you know it. With that being said here are a few things that you want to do to prepare for a successful year. From looking back on your successes and what you have yet to do and more. The way you prepare will involve being creative, having a free spirit, and allowing yourself to have fun.

What worked in 2024?

This is the first place to start. What worked in 2024? Start here with your wins big or small. If you were more focused in some areas what made you keep your focus? Write these things out. I know we are a visual people but nothing is better than a plan that consists of writing it out. Start with each area of your personal world. Your lists will look differently from person to person. Be clear in your wins and what you felt you did to make those wins work for you. Once you have it written it’s easier to use some of those same messaging and plans and spread them into your 2025 plans.

New Year-New Me-Old Habits in 2024

While we look back on what worked there is something that we can learn from what didn’t work in 2024. Everything that we do good and bad is a form of communication. It opens us up to learning more about ourselves. What habits did you notice in 2024 that need worked on. For instance if you said you were going to do one thing but didn’t follow up there is something to be learned from that. One thing would be to prepare for your goals in better ways. If it’s the gym then maybe this new year you will place it on your calendar, set your clothes out, and call on an accountability partner to hold you accountable in 2025.

What if it’s better cooking in the New Year? So instead of not having dinner plans ahead of time you focus on meal prepping so the excuse to eat at home becomes less.

More Focus is the Goal

The way we start out of a New Year can have that same fire if we would renew it monthly. Yes your monthly goals is how yearly goals are met. If you start each year with main goals, your monthly goals should be steps towards it. The same for your weekly goals. They help to light the fire for your monthly goals too. The fire and newness of the reset of the year is worked on all year long. It doesn’t stop one month after the new year has started. If you can start a goal and keep it for 30 days it has a better chance at becoming apart in how you move daily.

What’s your plans?

A lot of people hate making New Year resolutions. That is fine. Whatever you call your goals let’s focus on them now. I know that Christmas is in a few days but trust me the focus starts now. A few things, I have been re-evaluating how I will do my content, who I will work with, and the ways to stop bad communication in the future. I am not waiting on the New Year to come in to do so. For instance the gifts that I have asked for are all helping me for the future. I asked for but am more than willing to get for myself a new planner, gadgets for content, and more. I am preparing for my future year. The things I need like using my online/virtual planner and more are all helping me reach the goals that I have.

So take with you a few notes. Plan ahead. Get organized. Have a plan that includes looking back and bringing what worked into 2025. Cheers to the best year you are willing to make happen for yourself. No one is waiting or holding your hand in 2025. You either want it or the opportunities will pass you by. What you plan to do about it? Did you or are you going to create a vision board?
