So did you miss the first time I went to Positano Coast towards the end of the summer? If so check it out here! Positano Coast has some new Fall goodies and they are waiting on you to try them all!
Indoor or Outdoor Vibes
They have both available seating. When we went in the end of the Summer we were outside. However I was anticipated for us to be outside again because last weekend was 70+ weather. I was ready to sit outside because that event breeze was everything. My husband took me on an overnight staycation and the surprise was everything.
Sweater Weather
So let’s just say that Fall being one of my favorite times of the year I love sitting outside and eating. So I know as it gets colder and with limited seating indoors people are more than inclined to stay home. However we need to rally behind the restaurant industry more now than ever. I’ve been apart of the sweater weather initiative that is encouraging others to through your warmest sweater or hoodie and get out and enjoy Philly! Who knew Positano would have a drink called Sweater Weather?! Positano Coast is not light with the pour either! It made for an amazing date night!
Made with Sagamore rye, Blood Orange, Cardamom, Basil and Indian Tonic
Let’s Eat
So of course since the surprise was for us to have this night alone it felt good to be able to relax and have a great adult evening. Our hotel was within walking difference so we definitely made sure we drank well and are even better.
Short Rib with escarole and garlic
Appetizers
Pictured above is the short rib and that was my husbands choice. I had Buffalo Mozzarella. Not vegan of course but good!
Filet Mignon
Of course my husband went for the steak! He said it was amazing. His smile while eating it was enough for me! Served with cauliflower purée which let me say I’ve never seen him eat before, snow peas, and cipollini onion. He also had a side of potatoes too!
Zucchini Crabcake
This tower of goodness was made with jumbo lump crab meat, pan-seared zucchini, spinach, potatoes and lemon butter!
Drinks
I hope you know that since I said our hotel was within walking difference that we didn’t just have one drink right? Of course not!
Corazón de Labo made with Banhez Mezcal, mulled pineapple, Cordial, Pasilla, Amaro Sfumato, with a cinnamon-Chile Rum
Iceberg Theory
This pretty in blue made Bacardi Supreme, Cambier le Bleu, Maraschino, and Lime. It’s almost too pretty to drink!
Night Caps
The staff of Positano Coast surprised us with a little night cap right before we left and let me say, was a strong and amazing surprise. The lemon drop is not and I repeat NOT for the faint. It’s one of THEE best lemon drops I’ve EVER had!
Oh I failed to mention in my need to be greedy since after my husband told me where we would be going I didn’t eat lunch to make room, I also had a side of their rosemary squash!
I wasn’t hungry at all! I was beyond full and happy. From the appetizers, drinks, and main entree, I wondered if there was room for dessert?!
At Positano You Make Room for Dessert
I had the Apple Tartlet! Served with almond cream and sea salt gelato! The pastry is filled with warm apples! It’s gooey and full of greatness!
Also the lemon sorbet never goes out of style!
So as you can see, we didn’t want for anything. I didn’t identify who I was or pull an Influencer move for the night. I never do! I knew that we had been to Positano Coast before and the food always is a treat! This is a tough time for the restaurant industry. Anytime we are out now we do a standard 25% tip. This is to ensure that we do our part to tip our servers well. Please do as close as you can to do the same.
Positano Coast is one of my favorites and I will forever patron them as well as their sister company Caffe Aldo Lamberti. From servers, food, dessert, drinks, and elegance they have it all! Do yourself some justice in making sure you dine with them! You can also get their food for take out too or book a reservation online!
Remember to wear your mask until seated. If you’re sick or have been sick stay home. Keep everyone safe around you!
Thanks Positano Coast for another magical evening!
