Pizza and coffee are always a good time. Adding them together is a game changer. Pizzeria Vetri and La Colombe Coffee have come together to make the pizza you didn’t know you needed in your life and it’s amazing in every way. Coffee in your Pizza
Coffee is a love language for those who enjoy it. I personally love coffee. I start a lot of my days with it when I am not indulging with my tea. It is great tasting and I have become quite a home barista. With that said, when I was invited to collaborate with Pizzeria Verti on their collaboration with La Colombe coffee it was a no brainer. Pizza and coffee is love. I am not going to lie. I still had my thoughts on what to expect.
How does Coffee and Pizza work?
So, the pizza is made from their incredible crust. It’s good by the way. The type of crust you can eat the entire thing and not leave any for disposal. In addition, it’s topped with coffee-braised pork and fresh ground coffee gremolata. They add mozzarella, parmesan, and drizzle in a café latte sauce (a decadent reduction of the braising liquid, coffee, and cream) before cooking. It’s decadent and the flavor combination is out of this world. Top of the class pizza and coffee combination that is outstanding.
La Colombe Espresso Martini
We didn’t stop there with the collaboration simply on pizza. We also had the La Colombe Espresso Martini. It was perfection. I never enjoyed an espresso so smooth and delicious like I have with Pizzeria Vetri. I could have had more than one. It paired well with the pizza. I really loved it. If you love a great Espresso, you will always want it paired with La Colombe. If you have never tried La Colombe coffee on its own, you don’t know what you are missing. I won a year supply a few years ago and haven’t stopped buying it on my own. It’s my go to coffee.
Tiramisu Please
We ended the night with a little Tiramisu. It was creamy and delicious in every way. I know what you may be asking. Was I up late because of it? I will say yes but it was more because I had some other content to complete. However, the tiramisu was exactly the way you end a night with coffee and pizza for sure.
Options for Everyone
I want you to try the pizza. However, there are other options to make your night full. We had their Winter Veg salad. This salad is one of the healthiest you can have if I am honest. I am not a fan of carrots, but they made them taste delicious. This salad has in addition to carrots, brussel sprouts, parsnips, sweet potato, walnut romesco and red wine vinaigrette. It’s a beautiful salad and rounded out our night. They have many other options for Vegans and Vegetarians too.
Antipasti Options
We (I went with my girl Elle of Siponwhat) opted for the prosciutto and burrata board. It was delicious too. There are many options just like with the salads. This is the beauty at dining at Pizzeria Vetri. You can have friends or family at every dining palette and they all can enjoy the food together.
Hospitality Rating
Before I announce who, I am I always watch to see how they treat you before they may need to adjust. No adjustments were needed. I was greeted with the warmest of welcomes. Everyone was smiling, warm, and inviting. I couldn’t have asked for a better interaction. In addition to that I watched their care level with those around me. Everyone was treated like family. Every person who left smiling. The wait staff is incredible and attentive. There was no time that I didn’t see them refilling glasses or checking in while allowing patrons to enjoy their meal.
Dining Level Rating
I try my best to give a rating according to who a restaurant is best for. This is hands down for the whole family. It’s a great place to have a casual date night as well. If you are looking for a place for happy hour drinks and bites, this would make the list. It’s not often a place where no matter who is in my life we could dine in the same place. Pizzeria Vetri takes the cake.
