Lunch was on my mind when I went to Pita Chip in University City and they definitely delivered. From the fresh bowl I made with vegan toppings and the dessert they get a thumbs up from me.
What to Expect Before you Go to Pita Chip
Be sure to find parking. It is located in University City for the location I attended. Keep in mind that if you work there or go to school in the area you may already be aware of how to travel. In addition since I don’t live in or near University City I still had zero problems finding parking. I went at the height of the lunch hour and still zero problems. You can order ahead or come inside and place your order.
Selections at Pita Chip
There are options not only for meat eaters, but Vegans and Vegetarians as well. So it made it easy to select what you want. Mediterranean food that is full of flavor and super fresh at the same time. I choose to get the falafel and added extra falafel too. Each selection of rice, hummus, tahini sauce which was vegan by the way was absolutely delicious. You stand behind the glass and watch it being made as it comes across. I liked how they had their food well labeled and were patient with me when I asked questions.
Seating in Pita Chip
There is more than enough seating area while dining inside. Even at the height of the lunch hour there were people from all walks of life inside. The seats are really comfortable ranging from high stools to regular tables. The location was exceptionally clean. You notice the cleanliness a soon as you walk in which I appreciated.
Review of the Food
Like I said each topping I had was freshly made. The tahini was excellent. The only regret I have was not getting more on my bowl. I choose a bowl cause for me I knew the wrap would be too messy. They also have if you’re not too hungry pita chips and hummus that you can order too. I plan to go back to get some. The falafel was perfect. I’ve had some bad falafels and it will make or break the meal. They also have fries, and even a half salad and half rice bowl. So many options for you and even family deals.
Dessert
Never leave without getting a piece of baklava. They have regular, pumpkin, and Nutella. I personally had Nutella and it was outstanding. I mean if nothing else I could have ordered the box of baklava and been good to go.
There are 3 locations for Pita Chip. One in University City, Broad Street, and Yardley. So whichever location is closest to you-run don’t walk. Thinking about lunch or even dinner this is a fresh option to add. Thank you the staff at Pita Chip who hands down were amazing. Thank you and Peter Breslow for having me.
