We are back with a second edition of a roundup of places that I have dined. You should see the amount of text messages, and more that I receive of people asking me about where to go for date nights, family adventures, and such more. Even though I have a strong media presence it doesn’t stop those from asking me the same questions over and over again. What I hope to have happen is that when you are need to find some food and dining suggestions that you use this and all of the others as your guide.
Al Pastor Havertown
This is the newest of my adventures. You will find this place stunning, and has everything you could want from tacos and more. The menu is extensive and organized. From tacos, nachos, bowls, appetizers and drinks you will find this to be your one stop shop to extend past Taco Tuesday and more. Here are the things that I love:
- Plenty of seating
- Great place for friends and families
- I would bring my kids here
- Great selections of non alcoholic drinks including alcohol free margaritas
- Date night even first date approved
Who doesn’t love some good elote?
We had a time at the media preview. The staff is amazing but if you just so happen to get a waitress named Jasmine you will instantly know why I find her to be one of the best. Al Pastor is located at 13 W. Benedict Avenue, Havertown, PA 19083. My pics is the cauliflower tacos, prickly pear margarita, and the Tres Leches Cake.

The Mulberry on Arch: Brunch Foodie
This quaint spot is located at 1835 Arch Street. I dined for brunch and I must admit even with a smaller than usual menu it packs a punch. The small plates are delicious. I enjoyed the calamari and highly recommend it. In addition their Berry French Toast was delicious. I am not a usual french toast person but I enjoyed every bite of this. Their cocktail listing is absolutely amazing. Here is why I love the Mulberry on Arch:
- Hands down amazing customer service
- Peaceful vibes
- Parking convenient near by-I used the parking lot which is a little pricey but I enjoyed the convenience of the location
- Drinks were well balanced
- This is a spot you take older kids
- Date night, brunch, and special occasion
Bake’n Bacon: Bacon Foodie
This Black owned spot is your bacon and more spot. It is like a soulfood oasis of goodness. I attended the media event for the Black Influencers event. The food was super tasty. The cocktails are well balanced. The venue is small but definitely accommodating. Parking is on the street but we didn’t have an issue finding a spot. Here is why I love Bake’n Bacon:
- Great location
- Owner is amazing
- Food is diverse and even includes vegan and vegetarian options too so if you aren’t into bacon still give it a try
Craftsman Row Saloon-Spring Vibes
Craftsman knows how to decorate their space and bring in the people. They are serving up all of the Spring vibes until Memorial Day. It is ceiling to wall of spring goodness. I love the food, and the drinks. A lot of people don’t know that it is family oriented. There are plenty of people who take their kids. Kids will love the over the top milkshakes. Here is the breakdown of the wins for Craftsman:
- Plenty of space to sit and enjoy
- Beautifully decorated
- Food is delicious-not sure if it is a new chef but they are doing their thing there
- Excellent themed cocktails
So as always I will update some more food options. If you didn’t check out volume one of the series make sure you read that. I will also be breaking down top spots to take your mom for Mother’s Day soon. It is never too early to start planning what you will do with the favorite lady in your world. Make sure you are following me on all socials as Toitimeblog.
Lastly, if there is a restaurant that you really want to try an feel that others aren’t always willing to go, step out of your comfort zone and make it happen. Go. Don’t wait this year and not try a new meal. Become your own Foodie and enjoy.
