Philadelphia Flower Show After Hours

The Philadelphia Flower Show in general was a success. If you missed the Flower Show review, read up. This was my second year attending the Flower Show but my first year at the After Hours and I will always go back. It was the best adult only night out that I definitely needed. My husband and I went and it was like the Flower Show ordered and delivered perfection on a platter.

After Hours Vibes

Having it outside allowed all of us to mingle with appropriate spacing. All of the venues had space to shine. I really enjoyed it. It was like a festival with great spacing. No one was really walking over one another. The theme was Glow and everyone really did light up the night. From the flowing drink samples from alcohol, beer, wine, and seltzer companies to the light bites both for sale and to consume-to sum up the vibe-flower power. Everyone united in singing and dancing from Snacktime-you had to be there.

Flower Show Paint and Sip

Although not done together, my husband and I stopped at one of my favorite wine spots in Philadelphia, City Winery. They had samples of Rosé, White and Red wine for us to consume. Everyone who entered the party had to be 21 and over.  Once we had our wine we walked over to Power of Paint Academy . It’s a nonprofit that allows the young people in Philadelphia the ability to be able to paint or use their recording studio. If you haven’t heard about Philadelphia over the news we are getting more recognition for violence than our cheesesteaks and pretzels.

I personally stand behind anything that supports the youth’s talents. It was nice to sit with my husband and simply enjoy that quiet moment to simply paint. That started our night off on the right foot. If you are looking to donate-consider doing so. I donated while there. They do not charge the youth to come in and paint.

Flower Show Dance Party

It was so good to see all of the folks dancing and singing. It was like the long awaited party that we all knew we had to be. Snacktime made sure that we had the most current, old school, and just dance songs that we all rehearsed ahead of time. The unity of singing was just a beautiful to see. The sea of women and men and those who don’t identify as others laughing and having a great time. I saw very few people who weren’t eating or drinking in their seats. Even a few amazing folks in their wheelchairs were moving. The Flower Show did great with Snacktime. They fused all us no matter our backgrounds together.

Adult Libations Vendors

Anything that you wanted to drink was definitely there. From Truly’s new Vodka that I had a few weeks back. Also keep in mind that they were samples but there was no limitation. I can’t speak on how everyone got home, but if you parked in the parking lot the Flower Show provided amazing shuttles that took you to your car. We ended parking next to the shuttles so that would alleviate large amounts of walking at the end of the night. So I am hoping that all got home safely. I saw a lot of people who said they carpooled and had a designated drivers.

 

What does your Flower Show After Hours Ticket Include?

The tickets were $75 dollars a person. It included admission to the show, 1 drink ticket, access to all of the drink vendors for samples, dance party and small bites. Once you were inside if you wanted to purchase more drinks and food you could. It made for an easy night since you weren’t having to break down the price as much. If you plan ahead you could essentially pay for your ticket and limit additional spending. At the end of the show was the most beautiful fireworks display to end a night of fun.

Flower Show Ideal Date

This is a great fit for a date night. My husband and I enjoyed holding hands, dancing, and just having a great couples only time. The Flower Show After Hours works best for friends too. Grab your girl tribe and dance the night away and sip responsibly. In addition to grabbing your girl tribe I saw a bachelorette tribe out as well. There was an a proposal. This is ideal for all those 21 years and older. My anxiety level attending this event was minimal. Parking next to where the shuttles dropped off helped in the night ending finding our way.

In addition to parking smart, we left as soon as the fireworks started. Crowds of any size no matter how spaced we are, gets to me. So we left when I was comfortable doing so. I also didn’t overindulge in libations. It’s imperative to not allow my anxiety to increase while attending.

Until Next Time Flower Show

I can’t wait to see what the PHS is able to do next year. You have another year to look forward to. I haven’t heard anything bad about it. The power of voice kicked in. The issues that presented last year, was helpful in making it better. Also the members do a great job in making this year’s show a total success. For every vendor, families and friends that participated, and those who traveled near and far-this was an amazing event. Memories was made. This was excellent for my self care and you should consider not missing the fun when it comes back next year.
