You don’t have to be a vegan like myself to enjoy the alternatives with plant milk. Plant based meals are increasing in popularity. They are more sustainable to the Earth to produce. If you noticed too even fast food companies see the alternative and are incorporating them into more meal options for people on the go.
Benefits of Plant Milk
Most plant milks do not contain cholesterol. They are definitely easier to digest. Another benefit is they are low in sugar but have more calcium. Before I went vegan I started by first becoming non dairy. I eliminated it from my diet. It wasn’t that hard at first. I was able to find plant based milk. After I started to expand my plant based diet to incorporate, cream cheese, cheese, yoghurt, and ice-cream too. I had no idea the many items you can purchase that are plant based. That was almost 1 year ago for me.
I Don’t Want to Be Vegan
Many that I know have said this when they discover that I’m vegan. I don’t push the lifestyle on others in or outside of my home. My family on their own has decided in the last year to be more plant based driven when it comes to their dairy products. It makes sense. When I was plant based prior to being vegan, I wanted to enjoy the benefits and taste of dairy without feeling bloated, sick to my stomach, etc. With plant based milk you get to do just that.
Hope and Sesame Last Longer
As a mom who likes to save her coins, I wanted my plant based milk to last longer. It seemed as soon as I got the milk home from the grocery store it seemed to expire. I wasn’t able to drink it quick enough. My other issue is with regular milk and the due date I was never one to drink it past the sell date. Mentally whatever that date suggested was a dead stop for me. I’ve been like that since a child. My parents could never get me to drink it past that date. Plant milk last longer. I can enjoy it more and get Mr money’s worth.
For those who love the refrigerator option the unsweetened vanilla in the middle is available as well
Options
The same recipes you would use regular milk you can use for plant milk. I drink it, eat with cereal (which I had stopped enjoying for quite some time), cook, and bake with it. It’s a great substitute. It also taste great too. You can opt in for flavors or keep it regular.
Hope and Sesame
I’ve been drinking Hope and Sesame for quite some time. I believe I was introduced over a year ago. They have some great tasting options. Hope and Sesame come in pantry packs meaning they can be stored and opened when you’re ready. When the pandemic came others who might not have used it definitely saw the increased benefit in using the pantry pack. It made one less item to pick up at the grocery store every week. Beyond the pandemic the pantry pack of milk is still ideal to help you towards staying stocked but not having to deal with spoiled milk.
Flavors Anyone?
Hope and Sesame comes in a variety of flavors: Original, Vanilla, Chocolate, Unsweetened Original, and my personal favorite Chocolate Hazelnut. These flavors and I’ve tried them all are so creamy, not thick, and taste great. Remember there are a numbers of ways to consume them. I use them in my smoothie bowls:
I use them with cereal:
The ideals are endless. So although everyone has their preference on what they consider are healthy alternatives, consider being open to Hope and Sesame.
