Mental Wellness and Self Care Queen

I attended my first Vegandale this past weekend and I love a new experience. Here is my thoughts on the experience and some pro tips as they are headed to Toronto, New York and other cities. This review is all my opinion of course. I want to help other navigate through.

To VIP or not at Vegandale

VIP is a great way to attend Vegandale. Keep in mind however it will get you closer to the concert and you will have a VIP bar but it doesn’t stop the long lines for the food. I will mention some pro-tips for that later. VIP is always a great idea especially if the entertainers you want to see are going to be there. There is a Bottle Service area too. This is for those who do not want to get up to get their drinks. From what I could tell that may be a better drink option. I wasn’t too keen on the bar set up at all. More on that later.

The VIP section was nice for the concert-I am not going to lie. I enjoyed Saweetie thee most. Polo G’s stage presence wasn’t as enjoyable. He downed the crowd for their energy but also his microphone kept cutting out. I do hope that the sound gets better if he continues on. Another note for Polo G is that being gracious to paying customers goes a long way. Philadelphia is a hard crowd. Using Meek Mill to drum up personal support can only take you so far. Either way I didn’t allow his poor choice of words to disturb me.

Navigating the Food Lines

The lines were incredibly long. Again the VIP doesn’t help you in the lines. Make sure that you pack some patience. I had desires of stopping at one food vendor as a main course and at least one dessert but that didn’t happen. The lines were so hard that I had to have my bestie, Elle go in one line while I went into another. Whoever got the closest to the lines texted the other. I just so happened to get closer and stopped at Nourish. If you remember I definitely have showcased them on my socials for their vegan cheesesteaks. Secretly I was hoping their line was lower. The reason is that I could trust them. There were others that I really wanted to try but I wrote a few down to go to soon.

Many people who aren’t vegan enjoyed the food too. Some come for the concert aspect. Either way vegan food is good and is a great way to substitute regular food options.

Drink Tickets are a Must

If I were you get a beer. The drinks weren’t my favorite at all. If they do these drink tickets at all of their locations then you are in for it. The alcohol is pre-poured into cups. The alcohol is sitting out and then they ask you what juice or soda you want to add to it. It’s not like at other festivals that I have attended where the bartender is making up your drinks. So I bought 2 $14 cocktails tickets. After the first drink, I elected to turn my $14 drink ticket into a $10 beer. I didn’t in turn even ask for the difference at this point. So as soon as you come in I suggest that you grab your drink tickets and that includes water too. This will save you some time. Luckily at the VIP bar they had several stations to get your tickets and drink.
