Happy Monday. Have you ever been used to feeling like you are defeated? One day when you go to respond to something like you once did and you don’t, does it surprise you? Often times we don’t realize how strong we are until strength is all you have left. So on this monday let’s find ways to strengthen our own personal morale.
Monday Woes
Sometimes you wake up and Monday comes and you feel great. Often times Monday comes and you are dreading starting a full day of to do lists and more. If you woke up and you aren’t feeling our best-it’s okay. What you do with your feelings matter the most. I’ve had some Mondays when defeat, irritation, or sometimes anger greeted me. This could be from the challenges that were on my heart the night before or more. Whatever the case, learning to channel the energy you need to make things happen in imperative.
You Got This
One of the things that happen to us when we think that we have failed or are failing is self doubt. Once you tell yourself that you are defeated and there’s no hope you don’t look for a solution. Solutions require you to desire a different outcome and work tirelessly towards it. How are you reacting to life around you? If you are ready to throw in the towel every time life hits-let’s shift the perspective. Feeling like throwing in the towel isn’t the same as doing it. So no matter how overwhelmed please know that you are more than worthy of pursuing any goal that you set forth to do. Even when it feels like life has taken so many turns I know that you can make lemonade out of lemons. Trust yourself and stay the course.
Surprise Yourself Today
Do one thing to today that is on your list or heart that you thought you couldn’t. Want to go back to school but are scared, make the call to get more information. Looking to start a new career and think you aren’t qualified enough, send the resume anyway. You will be surprised that you can learn to do a job and walk in favor. Looking to go to the gym but are concerned that you don’t have someone to go with? Make a playlist, set your gym clothes out and show up. What you thought you couldn’t do-you can. Surprise yourself. What if the very fear, you feel is masked to prevent you from doing your best. The truth being that although hard, you can do and walk towards the desires of your heart.
Monday Goals
What are your goals for today? Focus on making little steps towards them. Even if you aren’t sure if the steps will lead to a full reset or make you feel accomplished, still walk towards them. Goal setting doesn’t come with a guarantee. One thing that I learned as I would start a goal and have setbacks is that while the failure sucked, learning new things about me always became a full circle moment at the end. I usually ignored the full circle moment initially. It’s always at the end when you realize the cues that you missed. The help that presented itself that was also ignored. Or the blatant time that was wasted from self doubt. Although it’s easier to play the blame game, you also have to remember that if you take the lessons learned it will be ammunition for your next set of goals.
So Happy Monday. Don’t let the Monday blues take you over. You are more than capable of knocking out all of your goals. Go with grace, do what you think you aren’t able, and you just might surprise yourself. Make today amazing!
