Happy Monday. Welcome to another week. This week is all about realizing your value. We have so much to offer this world and when you tap into what it is you find complete joy. The journey into realizing your value is such an inward one. So what are some of the ways in which to start the process of realizing your value?
What are you Good at?
This is a great place to start. What you excel in and do well is a talent. Often times our talents are something we can share with the world. If you are an amazing singer, sing to others. Participate in talent shows, or write music. Music is a great place of healing. Why not sing to those are sick, etc. If you are great writer, write in as many forums as you can. Start a blog, write a book, or create poetry. Use your gifts as a service to others around you. I have heard of people state that something you are good at can’t also be a source of income and that is wrong.
Monday Gifts and Business
Sometimes the very thing you are good at can become a full or part-time income. For instance I have a family member who is great with kids. She took her natural talent of loving kids, and relating to them and opened up a daycare. She had to also learn some other skills in order to be a business woman but she made it work. If you are a great baker, bake. Use those skills to start a business or side hustle in the baking and cake industry. Be open to learn new skills along the way. You can take a natural gift and turn it into a business.
Being Practical or Taking a Leap?
So do you take a leap of faith or take the practical route. There have been plenty of people who take the practical way and make it work. They work their side hustles and save until they can take the leap of faith. Others jump in head first and see what happens. If your leap of faith will only affect you I say carry on. When it comes down to being safe due to family or other responsibilities, be practical. You could also mix a little of both. For instance when I first began blogging I wasn’t consistent.
Being a stay at home mom I didn’t have much to lose. I was able to take a leap into the blogging world because I have the safety net of my husband. As life began to be too much, I went back to work while blogging. I blogged during the day and worked a 3rd shift job. At one point I worked in the day and night and blogged while being a Wife and Mother. Again your talent will make room for itself. You just have to be willing to do the work.
Monday Motivation: Willing to Work
Your talent will still require you to do the work. Do not kid yourself. Just because you are good at what you do, don’t think it will not require work. When you do what you love, you never work a day of your life. However there is a level of work that it requires you to be about. So work smarter not harder. However use your talents in a way that will lead you into the life or goal that you desire. Also there have been plenty of people who let their full time job finance their side hustle or goal until that side hustle turned into the career they desired.
Monday Push
So as we get Monday started, what are the things that you would do if money wasn’t in the way. Write that one down. Then find a way to accomplish the same goal by researching other ways of creating a source of income to make it happen. What ways can you work hard to make it happen? Don’t wait until the end of the year and accomplish a goal for the New Year. Dream big and make a business plan towards what you want. Trust me I have seen some of the brightest and smarted carve a dream life from work, intuition, and plenty of tenacity. Happy Monday and go and crush all of the goals.
