Happy Monday. Welcome to a new week. We are at a place where we are really seeing time speed up. Everytime we look around a new month is here and time is waiting for no one. What are you doing to jumpstart your day today? For me I am back on my school schedule. This means I wake up earlier than everyone and get focused and ready. It’s hard at times when you haven’t renewed your mind or thoughts but that’s what this motivational message is here to do.
Monday Jumpstart
What is your 3 key go tos to start your Monday? For instance, since we are back in the school mindset we use organization and music to start our day. Music helps the kids moving and grooving. Whoever gets up first is the DJ of the day. Organization helps to make sure that on days when you wake up late or on time you have what you need when you need it. So packed bags, lunches, and a breakfast schedule helps to assist in being ready for the day. The last thing that we use to jumpstart our day is on our ride we talk about any anxieties and a way to work through them. Examples is helping the kids with breathing exercises that they can use throughout the day. Or reminding them that they are supported even when we aren’t around.
Encouragement for Any Day
On any given day a little encouragement goes a long way. So simply having affirmations for each child or adult is great. If you need help with some you can use Affirmations for Black Women, Positive Affirmations Notebook for kids, or Rise and Shine to guide you. The point is before your feet hit the ground or soon after start with hyping yourself. Tell yourself how amazing you are and how many goals you will crush. For instance one of my besties and I send voice notes usually daily but if not definitely on Mondays. It’s a great way to affirm each other as well as rock out knowing you are loved and cared for. You can do this for yourself. Self love is the best love and we all need that amazing reminder.
What are your Goals Today?
Sometimes your goals can be your motivator. I know procrastination can come the best of all. It’s important to remember that not all goals can be accomplished at whelm. Meaning work has to get done and that is your motivation. If we focus on the tasks at hand we can identify when there are things that we need that are missing and more. So get up, write down what needs to be done and a plan of attack to getting it done. Be clear and cut out the distractions.
For instance with the kids being at school now, I have to map out a cut off time for work. This is how I measure productivity. If at the cut off time I have things done great. If the cut off time comes and goes and there is work left to accomplish I know that I need to focus and plan better for the next time.
Monday Joys
The fact that we are awake and have the ability to crush our goals is important. Make and carve out time to be at your best by starting off your morning right or doing a reset. Make that cup of your favorite drink, organize your tools, and find your happy spot. It doesn’t mean everything will align the way you want. Take joy in finding the joy. I remember when I learned to be happy. It was awkward and awakening at the same time. To find simple joys in things that I was taking for granted mattered. I began to see myself in a different light. The appreciation for simple things increased. I loved and still love who I am becoming. It was like a light switch of liberation touched me for the first time and I loved it.
So do you need to refresh your mindset? What about work on seeing you for the first time? What are your joys?
Today here are some of the things that I use or doing to work through the day:
Podcast Listen: “How to be a Good at Something” -7 Good minutes
Song of the Day: “Cozy” Beyonce
Workout plan: Exercise bike and yoga
In addition I have a eating plan in place and have prepared for it. I have my water bottles filled for the day and vitamins ready. In addition I have an action plan for the week for media and other engagements set as well.
Have an amazing Monday today! Sending you all of the love and support.
