Everyone talks about how mornings should run! Waking up with good energy, getting a to do list, meditating or praying, or even being intentional is great!! What happens when you wake up and it doesn’t flow the way you intended?

Reset or Defeat?

I’ve been a big push for resets. Resets happen anytime of day that it becomes necessary. There’s no set limitations on how often you can reset either! If your day has gone ahead of you, reset. This means taking a deep breath and almost mentally restarting your mindset or mood. Resets require that you take control of your responses to the bad energy that is flowing around. People of all ages could benefit from a great reset! Don’t be afraid to take one!

Once you feel the sense of defeat it’s a personal choice to allow it to overtake you. It doesn’t mean that once you reset that things will align. Sometimes it’s about managing your mental wellness. Changing the way you think about your day is necessary and very much a great way to get through rough patches.

Bad Days Don’t Last

No person is on an bad day everyday! So knowing that the day will end and will get better is all some can hold on. I have had days that were so bad that all I wanted to do was run and high! We know the reality of life prevents it. Pushing through bad moments can salvage the day and the expectations!

Expect Greatness

Often times we set up a bad day. Expectations are great but also needs a dose of reality. We put extra pressure on ourselves. Pressure is good but can also be a bad thing. What are you really able to get done? Do you need the help of others to get you through? What are the things that you can prep to make the day run smoothly? Answering those questions helps to check the level of expectation. Expect greatness but also do the work behind the scenes too!

Let It Ride

You’re having a bad day and resets aren’t working? It’s okay! Sometimes being positive won’t turn the day around. You are entitled to have a bad day or moment! Don’t let it get you down! It’s okay! Bad moments can leave you feeling bad about bad days. Feel it! Take it in! Just don’t let it stop you in your daily pursuits! Don’t give up your calling because at the moment of giving up greatness comes! I’ve had days where I was overwhelmed and questioning if I was doing the right thing. Give yourself a day to get over that feeling before making life decisions on changing the course!

Bad Days Reset Activities

  • Listen to a podcast or favorite song
  • Write down how you feel
  • Call a friend or someone who understand your line of work or passion project
  • Use an adult coloring book
  • Read a good book
  • Find a treat that you love
  • Sit outside for 10-15 minutes; outdoors help boost your mood

Gather Yourself

If you woke up on the wrong side of the bed it’s not the end of the world! You can reset or let it ride! The day will change and good times always loops itself around! Hold on to that notion! Bad times don’t last forever! They hurt like Hell sometimes. They feel crappy but you are in the right place at the right time. If you need to change course, the sign will be a lot stronger than just having a bad day. Make a declaration on what you want. Align expectations with reality. Don’t be afraid to continue on your journey knowing a good day is coming! Let’s rock it out this Monday!
