Happy Wednesday and cheers to getting to the halfway mark. Anyone else having an interesting week? From car issues to media events stacked on top of each other there is quite a lot to take in. One thing that has been helping me with the week is learning to not overreact to everything. There are a million and one ways to be frustrated without allowing the frustration to take over.
Wednesday Joy
Today’s joy comes from having peace that does not make sense. Peace that does not make sense is simply put the peace that you bring into your life when you could scream. This peace is built in because you know that no matter how rough life gets you are aware that it will be okay. This does not mean that you have a solution to your problem or issues. Take the time to tap into that peace. Where does this peace come from? Knowing that your bad is not your worse. This is knowing that if you were able to navigate an unpleasant situation before, the new problem will not overtake you.
Mid-Week Check-In
This check-in is all about resifting the mindset. What that means for me today is taking a step back to see what is truly is needed and what is not. For instance, my oldest is about to graduate to go to high school. The million and one activities that is on our plate makes no sense. However instead of complaining I just organized the to do list and was grateful that these expenses that are associated with them we must cover her. She does not have to know what it means to not have what she needs. I am grateful that we can provide that space. In addition, I have placed a stop on media events for the upper part of the week next week. This is helpful to make sure that I am getting enough rest and reset that it takes to simply live.
Thank you for always supporting me. Here are the blogs you may have missed this week:
Toibration 2023
If you are new here, you may not be aware that I do a yearly 10-day celebration for my birthday called Toibration. It is a way to celebrate myself. We always talk about how we should do more things to create the space to simply be happy. What are we really doing that to create or carve out that space. When I was a kid, I was not always able to have the birthdays that I wanted. My parents did what they could afford or what they wanted. As an adult I can do the things that make me happy. So, from this past Monday to May 10th my actual birthday I plan to do at least one thing that is for me. Monday after a media event I went to Alessandro’s to have a night cap of an Espresso Martini.
On Tuesday, my girl and I ate pizza in a car before that drinking prosecco at the bar and then attended a show at the Kimmel Cultural Campus. Today is yet early so we shall see what comes from it. Either way celebrate the wins, eat the cake, drink the wine, and learn how to put a smile on your face.
Celebrate Others-Wednesday Proclamation
This week I celebrated my friend Lizzie as she climbs over 20K on social media. As much as we should never be as pressed for numbers, we do know that it helps in negotiating contracts. With that being said, she has soared past her 20k mark. To celebrate her she threw a part at Rosalie in Wayne. From her cake, decorations, drinks, and food it was an amazing time. I want to always remind us to celebrate those around you.
So that is that for today. I will have the review of Jesus Christ Superstar later today. It is happening at the Kimmel now until May 7th. Make sure you get your tickets as they are selling out fast. Have a great Wednesday. Count your blessings and make sure you put things into perspective. As much as we complain about things out of frustration-remember there is someone who wants your portion in this life. Have a great one.
