Happy Wednesday. I hope today is finding you in good health and joy. This week has been a slow week and after the few weeks I have so far it was welcomed. From media events to home life there is a balance between the two. I will be taking a step back not from media events but doing less. This will give me a break in between as I work on bigger projects expected to roll out in the Spring.
Wednesday Philadelphia Flower Show Vibes
If you haven’t gotten to read the blog for the Philly Flower Show please do. It is here until Sunday March 12th which is also Family Frolic Day. Bring the kids anytime but on this day there will be special programming that will take place for kids and families. Don’t forget to stop at the Kids Cocoon and enjoy Butterflies Live. In addition, this Saturday is also the After Hours Party which from last year was one of the best parties to be. From live music, bites, and drinks-do not miss. Tickets are available.
International Women’s Day
For every woman who came before me and the ones that are rising up after me, I send love and thanks for all the things that have happened. Women have been the backbone of all things. We aren’t just givers of life but we organize it all. Women have been paving the way. I hope all women feel appreciated in every way. Not just for today but everyday. May we do all we can to be a voice for younger women as well as we listen and learn. One of the things that make stand out women even ore beautiful when they can collaborate with another woman. Give a compliment without being backhanded with it and shine in a room together.
Wednesday Wellness
I am finally used to my medication. I love that I am no ashamed to say that I am using it. There haven’t been many side effects. I encourage all to use whatever tools they need. My therapy has been going well. Getting to some real issues that I want to dive in and correct and heal. Therapy for me is much needed and a welcomed part of my life. Taking a leap to take care of you is a step that we all need to take. What do you need to thrive? Sometimes its asking for help and allowing others to pour into you. Do all the things to make yourself a priority.
Governor Josh Shapiro
The Governor has just released his budget. There are a lot of amazing things on it for all Pennsylvanians. One of the best parts that I see was increased mental health in all schools. The schools are already not properly funded. However they need mental health resources that can extend to the families. For instance, my kids go to a private school yet they only have enough resources for one counselor that is shared between schools. Kids need someone they can talk to and reach out for help. With that being said I welcome this initiative. I see the power that my own children have with private and in school counseling. Not every family has the money or resources to support their children’s mental health needs. If you want to read/see more on the budget you can go here.
That is all for this Wednesday. I am working on a few pieces that will drop in a few days. All of them on self care and wellness. They should be fun should you want to explore other mental health and wellness options. Have a great Wednesday and rest of your week. We are back with Season 8 of Conversations with Toi the podcast. Thank you for your continued support.
