Happy Wednesday and welcome to a new month. A new month of all of the goodness there is to be had. There are so many focuses this month. Some like self love, Black History, and more. Consider focusing on one or more of those areas or add in a few personal ones. On the blog we will discuss the new month, movement, and wellness as well as what has been going on this week thus far.
Wellness Wednesday
Today in video form I showcased a few things to demonstrate mindfulness. The way in which we take care of ourselves matter. So from keeping a certain bed and wake up schedule, movement, journaling and more is important to a healthy life and mindset. What are some of the ways that you can think of that you personal try to add value to your day. Is it in the way that you meal prep? Could it be from being intentional with eating breakfast? Here are a few other options you can do:
- Use of humidifier to keep you healthy during the day and night
- Sound machine
- Drink more water
- Be intentional not to skip a meal
- Move something daily
- Take a new class to learn a new talent or hobby
- Mediate
- Talk a walk to clear your mind
Revolt TV and Rec Philly
I went to a networking event this past Friday. It was dynamic. I have nothing but good things to say. This event had Aki Garrett and Lynzie Riebling. Both of these individuals have years in the game when it comes to marketing, collaborations and more. I loved hearing their stories and some of the things that Revolt is trying to do. I was inspired in great ways to grow and share my own podcast. Learning about the things that happen behind the scenes was also important too.
Eagles Super Bowl Bound
The entire city is still in celebration mode. I honestly thought that the energy would wane but it hasn’t. The buzz for parties to watch the game and more is increased. The city will be on fire come February 12th. Sorry to all those who celebrate Valentine’s Day most people would normally celebrate that weekend before but the Super Bowl may be dominate. Either way, plan a great party now. Order what you need ahead of time as most bakeries and more will have so many orders to pay attention to. I will be doing a house dinner with my children and I am okay with not having folks over to watch the game.
Taco Tuesday at Frame Philly
I had the opportunity to attend Frame yesterday for their new offering of Taco Tuesday. It is delicious tacos that are only $4 a piece. They had chicken, shrimp, ribeye, and fish tacos. They were delicious. In addition to the tacos were amazing margaritas: spicy, guava, mixed berry, and traditional margaritas. We were told that they will offer two other drinks to the margaritas. This new offering will be available starting next Tuesday on February 7th.
Not a taco fan they also have fries like cheese and truffle and Elote aka Street corn. The guacamole is delicious. They had classic as well as the Frame Guacamole that has lump crab meat in it. The options are amazing. I like the atmosphere. The music was unmatched and I was able to carry on a conversation while enjoying our food.
Black History Month-Wednesday Beginnings
There will be a slew of events in the city. As I know about it I will post it. Keep in mind that if you find an organization that you love as you attend events consider donating to them all year long. They all need your unwavering support. I look forward to see what the city will do to honor those who come before us and the new trailblazers that are standing in the wings. Make sure that you support Black owned businesses as well as your favorite Creators too.
I will be attending an event today that from my knowledge is not open to the public. I will be meeting with a very special person. I will report back once that happens. I am nervous but excited that I was invited.
