Happy Wednesday. Can you believe that we are coming to the end of August and stepping closer to the final quarter? It’s hard to believe but time really does fly. With that being said, I am excited to see what is on the horizon. These have been a busy set of days. From doing things with my kids, taking visits to a few businesses and doing content, so let’s catch up.
Family Day at Hershey Park
I will be doing a full blog on the experience at Hershey Park tomorrow. I wanted to talk about the fact that August is National Family Fun month. With that being said, it’s important to be able to find activities big or small to do as a family. From movie nights at the theaters or at home to themed dinners they are all important. I love taking time to reconnect. Our family loves a good game night. What’s interesting is often times I shy away from game nights with others but have zero problems playing with my family. It’s something about being comfortable around my loved ones. So what are you doing for Family Fun month? One night my kids took a balloon, made teams and we started a balloon toss tournament.
Date Day at City Winery
This blog will be out later today. My husband and I was able to vibe out over some wine and food. The importance in keeping the marriage fresh is key. We do all that we can from date night out and nights in. Saturday night is our standard time. It can get switched around if need be. However, it is our time to watch a movie, have a little adult fun, and just connect. We have been going strong for quite awhile and especially since the pandemic when creativity was at an all time high. So just because life has opened back up don’t forget those moments that we all had to learn how to see our spouses again. Keep the flames going.
Wednesday’s Joy
Today’s joy is all about me getting back on track with my full wellness. I have been back to taking my vitamins regularly. As well as my workouts getting stronger too. This is essential for my mental health. The kids go back to school on Monday and waking up earlier and going to be at a decent hour is important. My night time and morning routine will truly matter. So I have been setting myself up for success by taking a new vitamin packet called Nurish by Nature Made. They give you a quiz and according to your health needs it determines the pills. The pills are then placed in a single use tear off and you are set. All of your pills in one daily pouch with inspirational messages and your name on them. I love them. Do NOT do like I did the first day I took them and didn’t eat. Let’s just say I will NEVER do that again.
You can pause, skip or change the supplements and vitamins as your needs changes. So this is a no brainer. I like that I don’t have to have multiple pill bottles laying around. Start now and receive 50% off of your first month. You know I love Nature Made.
Wednesday’s Self Care Moment
I had to learn the hard way to take better care of myself. While at Hershey Park it was hot. I didn’t do what I needed to hydrate and while in the wave pool I got a Trolley Horse cramp in both of my legs. It of course made me go under the water in pain. I can swim so the water wasn’t the issue. It was the ability to get up out of the water. Thankful that a man near me saw me in distress and didn’t hesitate to get me help until my husband got near me to assist. I could have saved myself the pain. So although the weather will eventually get cooler, don’t forget to hydrate. I will be in the office of my home of course working away. The kids will be in school and I will probably feel like I am powering through content a lot quicker. I am setting hydration and refueling alarms to keep myself accountable.
So happy Wednesday. If you made it this far the rest of the week is going to be glorious. Remember I always say whatever worked for you keep it going. What doesn’t work eliminate it out of your life or schedule. The goal of this check-ins is to remind you how amazing you are. It’s also the goal to keep you focused so you can finish the week strong. This is a jam packed week of content as we continue with Back to School content as the focus too. Prayers of a successful and safe school year.
Speaking of home office, I updated my Amazon store with a few finds to make your office cozy. FYI I am getting a foot warmer. My basement office can get cold.
