Happy Wednesday. I hope today is starting off well. I have been sick again this time with a sinus infection. With that being said apparently I haven’t slowed down in blogging. I did take 2 days off and rested. I feel like my body at best wanted me to rest. So what has been going down for the week thus far?
Resting your Body Wednesday Wisdom
Our body is designed to keep us right if we listen. I felt myself getting sick a few days before I took the Flying trapeze class. However I didn’t listen and thus the sinus infection was full blown. Resting is our body’s way of helping us to recharge. What ways can you rest outside of getting the 7 hours they say we now need if you are in you mid 40s and up.
- Take a nap
- Sit in silence and enjoy it
- Go to bed early
- Wake up the same time everyday including the weekend
- Don’t bombard your schedule
- Take mental health breaks during the day
Birthday Preparation
I usually do a 10 day Toibration. It’s a celebration of my birthday and it’s usually 10 days. I haven’t done much but be in bed. I did go to a media opening of a new place to be in Philadelphia called Liberty Point. It was an amazing time. This is the largest restaurant in Philly seating about 1400. So it’s a big deal. The drinks were absolutely amazing. There are several bars located within. In addition, the food is good too. So if you like sitting near the water and enjoying the breeze you will enjoy this new location. There are Djs and a lot of ways to socialize. Plenty of space to sit. If you are looking to come I would highly suggest you make a reservation. As they opening continues, more and more people will definitely go there.
Mother’s Day
This Sunday is Mother’s Day. This day is filled with so many emotions. From sadness and grief of children who have passed or having come into fruition to Mothers who have transitioned please be kind. We talked about that on last week’s episode of the podcast. If you have a toxic Mom or an estranged Mom you may be filling sadness as well. Keep in mind that there are some amazing moms who should be celebrated for their selflessness. Make sure to gift her something with purpose. For me I am hoping for a peaceful Mother’s Day. Since my Mother in Law has passed its been an emotional day for all.
Youngest First Communion
Over the weekend while I was sick, my youngest did her first communion. I loved how pretty she looked. Above that her commitment to her religious beliefs. I am not Catholic contrary to belief. However my children go to a Catholic school and their dad is Catholic. We talked about raising them in a home that has both Catholic and Christianity in them. I grew up Non-Denomination which is to me a Denomination. In addition I am of the belief you make the best of your religion and spirituality. So regardless what name is on the door, you have to find a way to act right and treat others right.
