Loomen Labs has is your go to shop to help you curate your signature scent. I took my oldest with me over this pass weekend and enjoyed it. It was easy to do. There are different options available. If you love good perfume or cologne then taking this as a class would be perfect. Think date night, girls night, solo venture, and more.
What to expect at Loomen Labs?
It is highly encouraged to make a reservation. To avoid waste you would need to make reservation regarding what time and what product you plan to make. When you make your reservation it is highly encouraged that you do a tip. Tips are always appreciated. When you arrive plant to come about 15-20 minutes prior to your appointment time. Parking is available near by in a lot as well as on the street parking. Depending on what time and day you go it could be a little congested. However I found a parking spot near by even with a festival happening a block away. Expect to follow instructions and take your time. My class was about an hour and a half and we took the entire time to come with our signature scent.
In addition, if you are late to your class there could be a chance you will need to reschedule. It is not fair to the rest of the class to go backwards to accommodate the lateness. So try to be on time.
How the Class Works
Once you come in everything will be explained. The scents are named after areas in Philadelphia. You will go and smell them and write down your favorites. It doesn’t matter how many. Once you do that you will be asked to write down what out of your scents makes sense. For instance my final scent was my first scents. It was 4 of them. I did about 25% of each. This gave me the fresh and fruity smell that I really enjoyed. Once you select your variance you test it out by going outside if you want and test there. That helped you to break up the overwhelming smells that are taking place in the room. In our class we had about 10 of us.
You will be asked to add to get to 50 ml with the alcohol that is needed to help bring the perfume to life. It is super easy to do.
Why this works as a self care activity?
Self care is the ability to do something that brings you joy. If you love perfumes then having a scent that makes you happy will be a great additive to your self care. When I am at home and feeling low I usually do things like take a long shower, do my skin care, and now I can add my signature scent. It doesn’t have to be to impress my husband. Sometimes I want to feel good and smell good.

It is women owned and women led. As a woman I loved showing my daughter that something as simple as doing what you love doesn’t have to be super stuffy. You can let your talents along with hard work take over and make a business behind it. Jordan did such a great job hosting us. She is passionate about what she does and it comes out in her presentation. Her patience with patrons is top notch. She explained to a potential group of 7 that if anyone was late they were not able to do the perfume class. One person came in super late and her ability to be firm but friendly and keeping the boundary was great to witness. My daughter and I used it as a teaching moment. You can be nice but also firm as a business owner without it taking away from who you are.
