Happy Wednesday and happy last day of Summer. In place of our Wednesday check in is a special blog as we end Summer. We all know that Summer weather will stick around for awhile. If you live in a Sunny and warmer area of the world, Summer vibes are a normal part of your life. With that being said, there a few things to consider as we walk into Fall.
Summer Self Care into Fall
Although Summer is coming to an end there are some aspects of our Summer we should take with us. Add in some care free days. Vacations do not end in the Summer. Take some time off. Plan ahead for some mental health days. Take some time to simply enjoy the time that you have. For instance as much as I do things with my family in the Fall, I go back to many of these same spots by myself. The reason is clear, my self care days need to be solid during the Fall. I am aware that I will be touched with seasonal depression. I do all I can to get out into the fresh air, decorate my home, open my blinds, and keep my home life as stress free as I possibly can.
Summer Highs and Lows
This Summer my family and I definitely enjoyed some great moments. From Vegas to renew my 10 year wedding vows, family vacation to Cartoon Network and day trips to staycations. I have no reason to complain. Many weren’t able to do a small piece of that. With rising gas prices and inflation many elected to keep things simple or stay close to home. If you are feeling unaccomplished its understandable. Do not allow what you weren’t able to do to dampen what you were able to do.
Our family’s Summer low was losing our beloved cat, Tiki. It was by far something I didn’t want to have to go through. For me who never loved or even liked a cat, this was a first for me. Maybe it was the way he went. I am not sure. However my goal is to move forward.
Fall Goals
My goals for the Fall is simple. I want to get out in it as much as possible. In addition I plan to make sure that I take in the views of the changing leaves and more. We tend to forget the beauty of the season until the trees are barren and the weather has completely gone cold. Take in your scenery. Plan some fun but vigilant as we step into cold and flu season!
Summer Goodbyes
I had so much fun that saying goodbye is always hard. I love Fall but I also love Summer heat, tan lines, and more. What was your favorite part this season? Did you take pictures and videos? Collect memories? If so, relish in those moments. Now that it’s officially Summer’s end I will switch my decorations in my house over to Fall. I have all of my items ready and will drag them out of the holiday box. I am ready for Fall soups, vegan chili and more. What are some of your to tos?
Hello Fall
Of course starting tomorrow I will have all kinds of Fall content. From where to go in Philadelphia and surrounding areas. I’ll include some Fall ideas no matter where you live. In addition some mental health initiatives that can assist. For so many as soon as Summer ends and colder weather sets in they get more agitated, anxious, and more. I will give you some suggestions to cope. Fall is a new season of new beginnings so let’s enjoy it all!
