Did you know how important healthy lashes are? I know we want long lashes. We go as far as getting lash extensions or using mascara to achieve longer and fuller lashes, but the health of our lashes are super important. Lash Check sent me the amazing eye lash product and my lashes don’t feel brittle at all. I had quite the reverse reaction. My eyelashes feel moisturized and cared for.
Damage of Lashes
Lash extension are probably one of the biggest ways that women experience lash damage. However did you know that sleeping with makeup on is another culprit?! How many times have you been out on a night on the town and was too tired to take your make up off? I’m sure often. I’m guilty of it too. Mascara especially the waterproof kind, makes your eyelashes stiff which makes them prone to breakage. We love the ways our eyes flutter but not at the cost of damage. So yes you want to look fierce but put a little effort into taking your beat off and limit them nights of going to bed with a full face of make up.

Mascara and Eye Lash Curling
The beloved eye lash curler. The thing we use to get them lashes popping. However many use the eye lash curler often after they have applied mascara. I don’t even have to tell you the damages that is done. So minimize the damage by using the eye lash curler before you add mascara and not close to the lash rim. You just need a little boost. Don’t be so in a hurry. Take your time so you do it right!
Old Make-up is A No No
You do know makeup expires? If you don’t, we have a lot to cover. Makeup has an expiration date. Knowing the dates will help you especially with eye makeup. This will decrease cross contamination and eye infections. Yes eye infections are a thing.
Here’s a quick cheat sheet:
- Mascara throw it away after 3 months
- Make up sponge 1 month
- Eye shadow 1 year
- Eye liner 3 months
If you ever have an eye infection, get rid of the eye makeup immediately. You are going to cross containment your eyes over and over again. Also refrain from sharing eye makeup too. You have no idea what eye issues others have. Treat it like any other skin. Sharing isn’t caring.
Cleaning your Lashes
Do you clean your lashes? It’s a thing. An eye lash spoolie looks like the same applicator for mascara. The little synthetic fibers make it easier to clean. You can use alcohol and a paper towels to keep them clean. To clean the lashes you should use a gentle cleanser. Baby soap is actually gentle and effective. Some use the spoolie to be gentle as well. Here is a little picture of the spoolie:

Lash Customer Service
I’m super big on vibes and how companies mail items. If I think for a second that there are unresolved issues it’s a big red flag. I didn’t have that issue. Being able to contact customer service for questions throughout the entire process. I also noticed the need to wear less mascara unless at an event. Although Covid-19 has made my events less, it hasn’t stopped it altogether. At home I was still using mascara to make my eyes look less sleepy and waken up my face while on all of these Zoom meetings. With Lash Check I have yet to use mascara as my go to while home!
So it’s made with natural products. It’s easy and convenient to have it shipped to your door steps! Follow Lash Check on Instagram:
