Welcome to your July blessings. As we end the month of June and start into July and start the next half of the years now is the time to look ahead but to go back on your goals. This means what didn’t you accomplish? What is left to make happen? Focus less on what you see has failures and transform your failures into success.
Setbacks and Setups
For instance, I was feeling upset regarding how I felt I wasn’t meeting my financial goals for the first 6 months. June was my best month. It came out of nowhere and it took over the lack that I thought I had experienced and added more than I had set out in just one month. That isn’t always the case, but it happened and reaffirmed me in ways I needed. If you haven’t hit every milestone, it’s okay to feel bad about it. What you do with the setback is going to help progress you into your future. So, let’s get organized and focused to end the year. Here are my suggestions to help you focus:
- Get a planner
- Make a daily to do list. I have been finding that instead of a lot of idle time with unfocused thoughts I am able to make the best use of my time
- Write down what you want to do and an action plan to getting it done
- Also, before you simply let go of your dream start with one action movement and see if that inspires you to get going
July’s Anti-Boredom Month
It’s not just kids who scream about being bored but also adults. Boredom is a lack of knowing yourself. As you get older you realize that when adults say they are bored what they are really saying is they do not have the money they want to do something specific. We must unlearn saying general statements to specific issues. Not having the money to do what you want is real. It doesn’t mean you are bored. You are simply disappointed.
Channel that energy to use it towards something you really want or need to do. For instance, it could just be me, but I often have quite a lot to do on my to do list. I have turned into aprocrastinator in these last few years but when I am bored, I use that time to declutter something. Whether its in my purse, a room in the house, or my in-house office area.
Mental Health Moment
I always will bring up mental health because simple reminders could be the help that someone needs now. Mental health is a daily fight. In addition, mental health doesn’t go on vacation. Although Seasonal Depression is real it doesn’t mean that when the Winter is over, that you are out of the limelight. Triggers still exist daily. For instance, I took the kids on vacation and had to work through a bad mindset surrounding a vacation I had as a child. It can happen that easily. Something good you should be celebrating can take on its own thought process.
As you construct what your weekend is going to be or what you will do as we forge ahead consider your interests. People often say that one of their issues is that they haven’t figured out their passions. Start with you naturally gravitate towards. I am a writer. Although the world pushes video content, writing is my first love. So, anything that engages writing in a way that always self-expression I enjoy the most. Taking a passion that I love and being able to do it for a living is the icing on the cake. Want to know if it’s a true passion? Keep doing what you love even when there is no money attached. If you love your passion when the money looks funny and enjoy it. You will love it when the passion attaches to monetary gain.
