Located in Conshohocken, PA it’s less than 20 minutes away from Philadelphia. It’s the perfect location to go to King of Prussia as well. For those visiting family or friends in the city this is the best location for quiet nights. For instance you may want to attend an event in the city but also want a quaint place to relax. Hotel and Main is beautifully designed to attract business travelers, families, couples and more.
For those who live in the city who want a new staycation location this is absolutely the perfect spot to be.
Choosing your Rooms at Hotel West and Main
Whether you want a King bed to yourself or a Queen Hotel West and Main has you covered. Each room is beautifully decorated to bring in natural light. In addition the rooms all have steaming television. This means you can log into your favorite streaming service while you relax. The hotel rooms give an upgraded boutique style to them. Each bed is comfortable and the rooms are well maintained. If you’re looking for a suite their King Suite is 800 square feet. When you walk in it’s like walking into your own apartment.
History Notes to Consider for Hotel West and Main
This hotel as well as Hook and Ladder are located within the Washington Firehouse. The firehouse was built in 1877. Many of the original structure is still prominent in the hotel’s lobby and in the restaurant. The original wood flooring can be seen as well as the original Fireman’s sliding pole which is an amazing photo location. Preserving much of the structure but adding the elegance that you see when you walk in is undeniable.
Meeting Rooms and Special Occasion Spaces
In the lobby where the meeting rooms is 1100 square feet. It can be used for occasions or meetings. The hotel can bring in high too tables and portable bars. Inside of the meeting room and special occasion space is 3500 square feet. It can be broken down to accommodate 3 separate rooms with classroom style seating for 150 people or opened to one space. Dinner without dancing can house 200 people and with dancing 150 people with a portable dance floor installed.
Amenities at Hotel West and Main
Like most hotels, Hotel West and Main has free Wi-Fi, and digital keys. All rooms are also non smoking. They have a 24 hour business center and fitness center. The fitness center also has 2 Peloton bikes. One of the things I look for when booking a hotel is if it has a restaurant or cafe in or attached to it. Hotel West and Main has both. Grab a quick breakfast or coffee during your stay. Enjoy the comfort of Hook and Ladder for food and specialized cocktails.
Hook and Ladder
This upscale steak house is ready to serve you dinner and drinks. From charcuterie, soup, raw bar, to dessert you aren’t going to get just a great meal but an experience. There is places to eat inside as well as alfresco. I am personally an alfresco diner. The warm elements on my skin, accompanied by good food is a great way for me to enjoy my dining experience. Note soon the restaurant will have cocktail hour and they already have live entertainment Thursday-Saturday evenings.
Parking and Observations
There is a parking lot adjacent to the hotel. The parking spots are plentiful. Be sure to pay attention so you’re not parking in one of the spots that require you to pay with an app. The parking rates for the hotel is about $11 which is lower than I’ve experienced. Most parking I’ve been to are more than $20 per day.
One of the observations is that the lobby is not only a great place to sit and relax either in a chair or at a table but their doors are retractable. This gives almost a Miami type feeling. Open doors that allows for great mingling which the hotel plans to have music and cocktails served too.
Things to Do in the Surrounding Areas
Hotel and West is located in Conshohocken. There are restaurants and eateries within walking distance. Also, you can explore in King of Prussia and visit spots like Cork and Candles. Like the outdoors and animals, going to the Elmwood Park Zoo and having a day of exploring, Legoland Discovery Center is a great place for kids to roam. Of course, Philadelphia offers a lot of events, things to do and eat as well.
So although Hotel West and Main is new they are looking to provide more than just a hotel stay. They are curating an experience during your stay. These are the vibes that you get when you travel away from the area. Now you can get them locally or wow your out of town guests. If you’re looking for a staycation spot to rest I highly recommend them. The ambiance alone is one of the key things I look for when changing my location. You won’t have to even leave the hotel if you don’t want to. I usually rest, eat, and enjoy quiet vibes and relaxation.
