Head over Heels

Head over Heels combines the music of The Go-Gos, comedy and romance along with scathing prophecies and more into a delight that Theatre Horizon knocks out of the park. If you want to hear the best of the best in musical selections while bringing this 16th century story to life, you are in for more than a treat.

Head over Heels

Before you go to Theatre Horizon

You will need to wear a mask at all performances. This is to keep everyone safe. Not just Covid but the flu and other respiratory infections need to keep at bay to have the production continue. So make sure you wear one or get one from the theatre. Snacks are back at and that means to enjoy them come to the show a few minutes before. Parking is on the street. Although I never have issues make sure you give yourself time to park and get seated. Also this production in my opinion is not suitable for anyone under the age of 16 so plan accordingly.

Imagery is Everything in Head over Heels

From the time you enter into the production of Head over Heels you will be taken into a pink oasis. This is a breathtaking stage. I loved it. From the moment I entered I knew I was going to love it. I could be biased because I love pink but once the production starts it makes so much sense. The details in the stage is everything. I wanted to take pieces of it home with me and relive my teenage years all over again.

Singing and Performances in Head over Heels

This is a juke box style production. I loved the vocals. The entire cast is talented. There were moments that I had to refrain from doing like I would in church. In church when someone was “sanging” we would holler out and throw something to gesture how well they did. It was definitely a highlight. The energy that each performer brought to the stage was mesmerizing. Missing this is like missing air, you need it. The notes and the arrangements were dynamic.  Powerful, and class arrangements I was taken by surprise during this production.

Plot Twist in Head over Heels

There are many plot twists in Head over Heels that are necessary and apart of the storyline. Change is a synopsis that you will see being played over and over. From whom to love, learning to love who you have, and who is worthy of love are recurring themes. Even from the tearing down of a regime is laced in accepting change. Also if you are sensitive about people being unapologetically them in all forms normally I would say this is not for you. However this is exactly for you.

Head over Heels

This must see beautifully arranged production that challenges love and the pursuit of individuality is exactly what we need. It’s musically sound and orchestrated in a way that breaths the most sincere elements of theatre. I loved every second of it.

Thank you to the staff of Theatre Horizon for having me. As of now, this production ends on March 12th. Tickets are on sale now. Do not miss your opportunity to see this unfold. You will be missing a masterpiece. Theatre Horizon hits it on the head every time whenever I come. Every actor/actress in this production deserves their flowers and more.
