Know before you go see Hamilton

As always I highly encourage you to purchase your tickets early. This show is a best seller due to the infamous story line. In addition get to the theatre as early as possible. You will need more than enough time for parking, shopping merchandise, and concessions. Due to the fact that there is strong adult language it is suggested for children 10 and up. I agree with the age suggestion. My youngest knows every song word for word.

The show is less than 3 hours with one intermission. The time flies by. What you may have seen on television or YouTube is a drop in a bucket to what you’ll see live.

Magnificently Produced

Hamilton is masterfully produced. The way in which we all have seen the story unfold but we all act as if it is the first time is due to the production team. They deserve their flowers. I was impressed beyond my imagination. This production is definitely in my top 5 and I tried going into this not to let myself become enthralled.

The Hamilton bug bit me hard and I’m not mad.

The mics were on in Hamilton

Hamilton being a musical is musical’s musical! This show should be studied. The elements of song, dance, and acting is strong! The way it’s fused makes this a masterpiece of excellence. Each character ceremoniously flowed into one another. They also remained their own flawed and complicated entity made me feel engrossed but passionately stuck for the ride. Watching Hamilton’s rise and fall as he ran towards democracy was so reminiscent of today!

All of the characters were standouts

I usually in my reviews like to highlight a character or two who were my standouts but in this production it was hard to pick. No one overshadowed. I went in thinking of Alexander Hamilton, Tyler Fauntleroy would be my number one. He’s absolutely amazing and even more in person as I had the opportunity to meet and talk after the show. Each member of the production just blew me away. One of the things when I have an opportunity to meet with them is attempt to separate them from their characters.

However, Justin Sargent who plays King George charisma was absolutely brilliant on and off screen.

Ensemble Philly Arts Cast Party

As I stated we were able to meet so many after the show. I enjoyed this most of all. One getting to meet the amazing actors and actresses was one but the food and drinks were so good. Ensemble Philly Arts has great programming and there’s so much more to come for the end of the year. Here are some productions I’m looking forward to:

Onward to Democracy

As we push towards election this week please do your part. As you see how so many have fought for our right to vote and more do your part. Also stay grounded in your pursuits of success. Your family it’s important and never throwing it away is key. The world is big and we can or should live with one another regardless of different views as long as we give genuine respect and consideration!
