If you love the Golden Girls you will love the Golden Girls Murder Mystery. I attended this show last year but the improvements that have been made make the show so much better.
Before You Go to Golden Girls Murder Mystery
The show in my opinion is for adults only. It is a murder mystery. Although there will be no life like murderous and gruesome scene this is fun best suited for those 18 and up. Of course drinks and snacks are available so attempt to bring your card for the fastest and smoothest experience. The show is about an hour and a half with a small intermission. The show is located in Without a Cue’s newest home, Redrum Theatre.
The theatre is located at 601 Walnut Street. As with most theatres give yourself 20-30 minutes extra arrival time. Between drinks and getting comfortable you will have time to get relived and have a great time. Pictures and video are okay just be respectful of others around you.
Murder Mystery Fun
This show brings out the fun. The same banter you would expect from the original cast is shown in the show. The actors/actresses do interact before and during the show. Expect them to be in close quarters. If you feel the need to wear a mask do so at your own discretion as one isn’t mandatory. As soon as the theme song comes on it’s instant smiles all around. That’s one thing about the original show. Everyone from all walks of life loved the show as well as the actresses and actors in it. Of course because it’s a murder mystery be sure to pay attention to everything you see and hear.
VIP Golden Girls Murder Mystery Experience
We all love a great VIP experience. The general tickets are $35 per person. VIP are $75 but includes one drink, 4 clue tickets, premium seating and skip the line abilities. The VIP tickets are well worth it in my opinion. The preferred seating sits you right in the front of the action.
Actor/Actresses Interaction
I can’t stress this enough how well the staff and actors/actresses interacted with the crowd. They went above and beyond making sure I and others were well taken care of. I missed the grand opening celebration. Since I’ve seen many of their shows before some of them knew who I was. Still, they are really amazing individuals. I loved how they made their way to each table the entire night. In the end we too were allowed to take pictures. They make it such an inclusive experience.
If you love murder mysteries you will love the Golden Girls Murder Mystery. The pure nostalgia of the original show shines throughout. They aren’t trying to be the original it’s like the biggest well written love letter to the spirit of the Golden Girls. I love solving a good crime scene so it’s the best of both worlds. The Golden Girls show will be headed to Atlantic City starting in March. Just like with this show, expect to see the fullness of the personalities of the cast shine through.
