Mental Wellness and Self Care Queen

Happy Friday and cheers to the weekend. If you are cooking Thanksgiving dinner and you have a frozen turkey, take the turkey out to thaw. You should take it out for one day for every 4-5 pounds. It is imperative that you follow these instructions to prevent your turkey from not being ready on time. Other than that there have been quite a few events that have taken place. Today is also the opening of a lot of holiday events in and around the city of Philadelphia.

Trolls Band Together is Out

This movie was absolutely amazing. Shout out to those who showed up for the movie screening. I enjoyed seeing some new faces. Everyone who won a prize pack I hope you are enjoying it. THe movie is a must see. There is a lot of adult nostalgia. Be prepared to dance and move more than the kids. There is one or two uses of curse words. I was taken back by it. So that is my warning for those who view movies before the kids. So preface that before you go. Get your tickets before you get to the theatre. Due to the nature of this movie many people will be flocking to the theatres to see movies especially on Thanksgiving day. I give the movie a solid 7 out of 10.

Uptown Beer Garden Friday Public Grand Opening

If you live in Philadelphia you know that Uptown Beer Garden has been known to turn Halloween and Christmas into a tailspin. This year was no different. The theme is classic Christmas movies like Home Alone, Elf, and so much more. The drinks are always good and themed. Some of the cups you can keep too. It is a great place to hang. They have so many heated lamps so you will be warm. Grab a few friends and enjoy your time.

SIN has hit Philadelphia

I really do not like the name but that is apart of their game. SIN stands for Steak, italian, and Nightlife. It is expected to bring an upscale dining experience with nightlife capabilities in Northern Liberties. Be prepared to indulge in out of this world cocktails, amazing appetizers, and tantalizing steak for all of my meat eaters. Plus the pasta should be at the top of your list too. They are taking reservations now.

So that is the blog for the week. Happy Thanksgiving prep to those like me who deal with anxiety and can’t wait util the last minute. Be sure to do the things that will help. For instance I prepare early, play music while cooking and so much more. Do something nice for yourself this weekend too. Do not let the weekend come and go without tapping back into you. Happy Friday and cheers to the weekend.
