Happy Friday and cheers to the weekend. There has been a slew of media events. Now we are entering the Memorial Day weekend which is the unofficial start to the Summer. I hope whatever level of plans you are about to ensue that you remain safe while doing it. Cheers to also celebrating my oldest birthday this weekend.
Firing my Therapist?
I didn’t fire him and I won’t. For those who use therapy as a tool for mental health have you ever wanted to fire your therapist? I had that moment this week’s therapy session. This therapist has challenged me more than any I have ever worked with. I sat there many moments and simply cried. There were moments that I couldn’t answer him. Either way I felt the need to want to fire him and that’s how I know he is the right one. Therapy isn’t fun. This week and honestly every week that he and I have met has been rough. It took me out of my happy mood into a solemn one. In addition, afterwards I am so drained that I simply went to sleep.
If you are dealing with this or have ever dealt with this do not give up. This is a good thing. It is going to bring about good things in you. I just don’t want to face the reality that I have always known. So we shall see how this rolls out.
Things to do this week in Philly

Governor John Shapiro
This week I attended a Content Creator meet up to see Governor Shapiro that was hosted by Visit Philly. We had a time. The food and drinks were on point. If you have never been to Mural City Cellars in Frankford you are missing out. Its spacious and can hold quite a few people. I was able to as always talk about mental health. In regards to increasing spending for the budget in Pennsylvania and what he does for his own mental health. I also got to bring my girl, Elle of Siponwhat too.
CCD Sips is Back-Friday Preview
If you have ever went to Sips in Center City then you know just how great it is. It’s in its 20th year and is a great way to link up with your friends and family for drinks and bites. Starting June 5th and going through August 28th you can go to bars and restaurants for drink specials and food specials including up to 15% off of dinner. I attended the preview party as a VIP and we enjoyed it.
Paws on the Paw-Tio for Providence Animal Center
Every other Monday starting Monday June 3 (weather permitting) will be animals available to adopt while you dine on the patio. The puppies that will be available will be available on their social media ahead of time. Come and drink specialized drinks like Dog House Martini and Tumeric Terrier. Either way you can come for the food and leave with a puppy in need of a loving home. There are also treats available by Appleville Treats that are plant based and some are even human approved to enjoy. I bought some for my bestie’s dogs and they were a smash hit.
Sofitel has a new menu and a new chef-Friday Review
The restaurant inside of the Sofitel known as Liberte has a new chef and a new menu. It is delicious. I dined there this week and let me say it was absolutely worth a trip into Center City. The cocktails are all named after the characters from the Philly based movie, Trading Places. So grab a friend and take a stroll into Sofitel and see what the goodness is all about.
A special happy birthday to Kory Aversa or Aversa PR where a lot of my invitations to all things Philly come from. Another birthday shout out to Elle of Siponwhat. Lastly but never least to my oldest, baby girl Naila who celebrates this weekend.

We are back with another episode or should I say I am back. It’s called We outside and it’s all about the unofficial start to summer. How to add some summer mindfulness to your world as you travel and more. Also we all knew that Diddy did it right? I hope you were on the right side of this before the video. If you are traveling be cautious at all times. Enjoy. Happy early Memorial Day and thank you to those who have given their lives so that we have the freedom to move as we do everyday. Happy Friday and cheers to the weekend.
