Happy Friday and cheers to the weekend. How was your short week? Mine was restful in the beginning and now it feels overwhelming like I am tired beyond compare. Either way, we have made it to another Friday and survived the 4th of July and more. So, what happened in my week?
Get the Rest Friday Recap
I was able to get the sleep that I needed starting with Monday night. I went to sleep off and on even through the 4th. We had zero plans on purpose. My family and I already went to Lancaster to see my side of the family and celebrate my niece’s birthday with swimming and a cookout. So that was all that we needed to get the holidays started. The weekend we also ended up at my youngest daughter’s friend birthday party and we saw fireworks and had cocktails at another friend’s house as well. So honestly, I felt fulfilled and enjoyed the actual day with cocktails, cookout food, and rest. If you follow me especially on Instagram, you know that any time I can get to my Snuggie I do.
Pixar Putt is Her in Philadelphia
Love Pixar but also love miniature golf? You will love Pixar Putt. Located inside of the Great Plaza at Penn’s Landing you and your crew will enjoy the nostalgia of miniature golf and the Pixar themed scenes. Each hole has its own unique theme from Monsters Inc. to The Incredibles. My family and I went for the media grand opening, and we enjoyed it. The pop-up mini golf will be here until October 1, 2023. So, grab your favorite crew and enjoy.
Make sure you also enjoy bites at French Toast Bites while too. It is a few minutes and a quick walk away. Enjoy French Toast Bites both regular and vegan as well as milkshakes, cold brew, and bacon on a stick.
Moulin Rouge! The Musical
Tonight, I will be seeing Moulin Rouge! The Musical here in Philadelphia. I already saw it in New York for my first Broadway show. What I am expecting here in Philly is to spend time with my other Broadway besties. The Kimmel Cultural Campus is hosting a few of us for drinks and cocktails before the show. I am excited and I may need to take a nap before I go. However, if you are in or near the Philadelphia area, make sure that you see it. It’s a solid show filled with lights, action, and more. Also get there early enough to snag a few pictures. Once the show starts you will be directed to turn off all recording devices.
Conversations with Toi Podcast Friday Drop
I am back with a whole new episode this week. The topic of this week is all about Keke Palmer and the notion that as a mom you are set to a certain standard. Let’s keep in mind that not only is Keke a celebrity but she was seeing Usher in Vegas. I too was in Vegas almost a year ago to see Vegas and I didn’t wear a normal home out dress. When in Vegas you do it a little more special. So, listen to my thoughts especially about the mental health of just having a new baby and more.
On Monday, July 10th I will be celebrating 3 years podcasting. I had to look it up because I was not understanding how I missed last year. Either way, I am celebrating. Weekend Vibes
My family and I are being hosted at a nearby Waterpark. I am excited to go. This will be my first time at this waterpark as I have only visited them for their Christmas fun. So be on the lookout for that blog to come out on Sunday. Call us the Amusement Storrs because we are being hosted at various waterparks and amusement parks all summer long. The family are all thrill riders so this should be a lot of fun. I will be covering, what to expect before you go, the pro tips, what to bring, rides to be on, line length if any and much more.
