Happy Friday and cheers to the weekend. I hope you had an amazing week. This week has been busy. From media events to home life, I have been on go. This weekend I also have several media events on Saturday and Sunday will be a day of rest and catch up on house chores and laundry. So yes, the plate is full, but I remember when I prayed for days like this.
Virginia Beach in 24 Hours
We went to Virginia and was there for about 24 hours due to supporting our friends who lost their dad. It was a solemn time. However, it was a lot to pull together but we made it happen. The stress of packing up 3 kids even for an overnight trip was a lot. I could have gone to Virginia for a few days before, but I had some events that were already scheduled. I wanted to balance events to paying for the hotel longer. Either way we wanted to support our friends.
I watched the funeral on live while my husband attended in person. I didn’t think the kids would be able to handle the funeral. So, I elected to keep them back at the hotel and let them swim while supporting. We joined the family at the repass and then left. In addition, I visited my uncle and aunt while there too. It was an amazing time considering the circumstance.
Mental Health Check in
The stress of knowing that the temperature is getting cooler, sunlight will soon be less is honestly making me feel anxious. So, I had to go back to the basics of checking in, slowing down, and re-shifting my focus. For so many who deal with anxious anything can trigger it. A few weeks ago, I was out to three events when my cell went blank. I had to go home and get my youngest child phone. It was a mess. That is triggering for a content creator to not have the one basic tool to create. However, I had to remind myself how stress wouldn’t produce results. I was able to get the content that I needed.
Halloween Fun in Philadelphia
There is a lot to do in Philadelphia and beyond if you are into that type of fun. Remember that everything doesn’t need to be scary either. Many schools and organizations are doing trunk and treats to keep the atmosphere safe. Go to Halloween House Philadelphia. You can go, take pics and videos, and have a blast with a lot of nostalgia like Chucky and so much more. I went last week and took my oldest. We had a lot of fun. Also, Applebee’s is near, and they are doing their Dollaritas. This isn’t sponsored but the drinks were strong.

Conversations with Toi
This week’s episode on the podcast I discuss super brief about the whole Will Smith and Jada. Trust me when I say super brief, I mean that. I also talk about being authentic online and off. Lastly as always, a mental health check in. The episode is a good one, but I could be wrong. Also, there are 9 seasons with everything from holiday mental health to relationships and more. Check out the podcast and listen to whatever episode resonates to you. Make sure you are also following, sharing, and leave me a review.
Weekend Rain on the Way
So many of us hate the rain when it comes. Do not forget a few indoor activities that you can do without without a family. Also take this weekend to switch out your summer clothes for some fall favorites. If you haven’t done your Fall décor like I have now is the time as well. I decorated my all-year tree. Announcement, I finally have an all-year tree AND a Christmas tree. This means that I have a separated tree for Christmas and this tree is lush and beautiful. It’s also sponsored, and I got it in July, so I am excited to unbox it and decorate.
So again, happy Friday and cheers to the weekend. Remember to do something nice for yourself. It doesn’t have to be expensive. It can be an extra hour of sleep, home skincare, facials at Heyday or even Kari Skin, nail appointment, reading a good book, listening to a podcast, or simply finally catching up to your favorite shows. Until next time!
