Mental Wellness and Self Care Queen

Happy Friday and cheers to the weekend. When I say it was a long week I mean every bit of that. It has been one media whirlwind and I am so here for it. Tonight I will be happily on my couch grateful for nothing to do. I plan on catching up on some much needed rest or alone time with the family. So before I can crash on the couch let’s get into what went down.

Steak 48 Last Friday Date Night

Last week as if my week wasn’t as hectic as it was my husband surprised me with dinner at Steak 48. He has wanted to go there and we were also celebrating some of his wins. One thing that works in our marriage is celebrating wins instead of just doing things for Birthdays and Anniversaries. It keeps things into perspective and both of us are honored. Now celebrating at Steak 48 is a huge way to celebrate. However like I said he has wanted to go here. I wanted to see what the ambiance was all about. The buzz behind it here in Philadelphia has been larger than life. At one point there was no room on the reservation list.

Steak 48 with the Storr

Steak 48 was everything and more that I could have imagined. Their service was impeccable. Their drink list is more than extensive. They have some of the most amazing wines, cocktails, and beers you could ever want. The food was hot. I hate having my food be room temperature. Everything was fresh. So if you were wondering if this is a place to dine-think no more. Its visually stunning and you will love it.

The show will be held every Thursday and every Saturday night at 6:30pm, with doors opening at 6:00pm, starting November 18th and 20th. Audiences should come ready to be dazzled with a combination of illusiondeception and mentalism. He invited me on stage and let’s say I was skeptical but he is great at what he does. Get your tickets and enjoy a night of food, cocktails, and surprises. Tickets are $40 for general admission and $50 for the first two rows of seating.

Juana Tamale is Now Open

The highly anticipated restaurant of Chef Jennifer Zavala, Juana Tamale, is OFFICIALLY OPEN. Like right this very second! In true Chef Zavala style, she’s turning on the lights and opening the doors TODAY, after using her social media to tell her followers “Black Friday.”

Juana Tamale

It is at 1941 E. Passyunk Ave, the former spot of Fig & Olive and has been completely transformed from it’s days of past. The restaurant is a Take-Away/Made to Order establishment. Zavala promises that, although the lines will be very long, her staff is prepared to get everyone in and out in a timely fashion.

House of Gucci

Also don’t forget House of Gucci is out today! It is inspired by the shocking true story of the family behind the Italian fashion empire. When Patrizia Reggiani (Lady Gaga), an outsider from humble beginnings, marries into the Gucci family, her unbridled ambition begins to unravel the family legacy and triggers a reckless spiral of betrayal, decadence, revenge, and ultimately…murder.
