Happy Friday and cheers to the weekend. What a great day to have a great day. This week has been pure bliss. I love when things seem to line up. The most refreshing week has commenced and I look to some media but family time included. My kids and I are about to have one fun weekend and of course I will share it with you.
Friday Month in Review
This month has been hard. We enter a new month as well as a new quarter. I am starting second quarter further along than I thought I would be. Depression had me so tight that my goals felt like they were taking a back seat. I am happy to report that even when you feel like life is knocking you down and you can’t breath, you win. So I am happy to see March leave. April and second quarter is bringing those almost 6 months vibes. Don’t let yourself talk you into stress especially if you aren’t feeling as motivated or goal oriented. The next month will be what you need it to be. So take your time and get focused.
Staying Power: Be Distinct or Go Extinct at the Philly Zoo
I had the pleasure of attending the Staying Power exhibit. It is wonderful. It features some dinosaurs from the Big Time along with some larger than life bugs. The details and intricacies of these beautiful animals and insects are something to behold. Of course you will need tickets to the exhibit unless you are a Member. Members enjoy free admission. This is a great way to consider getting your family a Membership especially since 2 trips pay for themself. I enjoyed not only the exhibit but the treats that the Zoo provided. So be on the lookout as these treats could very well be there for you to purchase.
The exhibit opens tomorrow, April 1, 2023. Let me know how you enjoyed it. It’s a great way for children to experience it all on a large scale.
Friday Conversations with Toi Podcast
Today I am excited to announce the guest of honor this week as none other than R&B singer, Kevin Ross. This episode is special to me as a Podcaster and a fan. Kevin is a DC native and national top charting R & B artist Kevin Ross is preparing for a sold out homecoming performance at Philly’s City Winery on April 14, 2023. The chart-topping musician, whose vocals can be heard on the Creed III soundtrack, is available for interviews and media performances prior to his City Winery appearance.
To say that I was overjoyed to do this interview is an understatement. Kevin Ross in my opinion is underrated. Make sure you listen to his music. To join the waitlist for the City Winery show, click here.
Kevin’s Climb
Kevin has more than 100 million streams across platforms and has collaborated with artists such as Jamie Foxx, Ty Dolla Sign, Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, Trey Songz, Tank, Lecrae, Toni Braxton, and T.I. His newest single, “Look My Way,” is currently number 20 on Billboards’ Adult R&B Airplay chart. “Look My Way” will join “Show & Prove” on Midnight Microdose, the follow-up to Ross’ 2021 EP Drive 2. Friday Movie Moment
This Friday, Dungeons and Dragons is in theatres and it’s a must see. I took my son to a special premiere. Would I go again? Hands down. My son and I loved every bit of it. Every actor and actresses were standouts. It’s action packed and more.
A charming thief and a band of unlikely adventurers undertake an epic heist to retrieve a lost relic, but things go dangerously awry when they run afoul of the wrong people. Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves brings the rich world and playful spirit of the legendary roleplaying game to the big screen in a hilarious and action-packed adventure. In Philly it’s supposed to be warmish but rainy on Saturday. Sounds like a great day to go to the movie theatre to me.
So happy Friday and cheers to the weekend. Looking for a good Rosé? Try Hampton Water. I had some with Jesse Bongiovi and it is a must have. Thanks to Fearless Restaurants, Moshulu for having me at the special meet and greet.
That’s all for this Friday. I will have content for you this weekend. Have a great one and find one activity that you love.
