Happy Friday and cheers to the weekend. It is Easter weekend. There is a lot to do this weekend in and around Philadelphia. If you are looking for Sunday brunch there are many options. I hope that your weekend goes well. Here are the things that you may have missed this week.
The Morris Brunch Vibes
If you are looking for a spot that is new and not heavily visited just yet, it’s time to go to The Morris. It is located 225 S. 8th Street in Philadelphia. They have dining inside and in their covered greenhouse vibes. The food is phenomenal. Fully seasoned and definitely worth a visit. Also if you love a good mimosa kit you can get the Find the Bottom. I also recommend getting it Bellini style. When you finish there’s a message on the bottom. There will be a message at the bottom for another bottle. Definitely worth it.
Theatre to be Seen
If you love theatre like I do there are two shows I want to place on your radar. Quintessence Macbeth and Ensemble Philly Theatre, Frozen. Both are both sides of the field. One is more family oriented and the other is for adults or teenagers 16 and older. Make sure you support both.
Easter Joys-Friday Recaps
As we approach Easter, are you ready? From easter baskets, cooking, baking, shopping and more. I plan to visit with my parents. I am co-hosting which means I am coming with desserts, food, games, and Easter baskets for my nieces, sister, and kids. In addition I got the Easter games for the adults and an Easter egg hunt for the kids. We will have a great time. If you aren’t into all of the decorating or even cooking and will be in Montgomery County or Philadelphia i have you covered.
Godzilla x Kong Friday Movie
If you love a good fight then you need to go and view Godzilla x King that is in theatres today. The fight is going to be one for the end. Scoop Deville also is featuring two new flavors. Godzilla which is raspberry ice cream blended with cookie dough and cookie crumbs Kong which is chocolate ice cream blended with cookie dough + chocolate cookie crumbs. The Kong flavor can be made vegan. We enjoyed getting goodies to the movies and movie tickets. I will report back on the movie next week.
Conversations with Toi Friday Podcast
I am back with a new episode. On this episode I talk about mental health in detail. The topic is all about the embarrassment that can take place when you experience a mental health issue in front of others. Sometimes as we get better we look for validation from others. There is going to come a time in your healing journey where you need to focus on the end goals and not how people perceive you. It will be hard. I still sometimes feel like I could be the butt of jokes from my husband’s friends and some of the friends who saw me in my lowest. Despite all of that I focus on me and how I live my life daily.
Blogs you may have missed this week
Disney’s Frozen at Ensemble Arts Philly
Macbeth with a twist at Quintessence Theatre
Easter, No Contact, and Protecting your Peace
I will be doing another foodie blog next week. This will include the newest spots that I have gone to. You know that I will break down a few options for families, friends, and celebrations.
Cirque du Soleil Corteo
If you are in the Allentown area, you have to get to the show. This is such an immersive experience. I say in section 105. This area, allowed us to be able to see the stage super clear. In addition, the show is family oriented. If you remember I interviewed, Joris Kondja. He is an amazing performer. I enjoyed seeing him doing his thing. The show ends this weekend at 1pm. Get your tickets now.
Well that is all. Have you noticed the subtle changes to the website? For instance I added real in time Instagram posts. This way there is no way for you to support. Simply watching the videos or content helps and it free. I also added my Amazon store to every post below. Have a great weekend and Happy Easter. I will be back with content this weekend as always. I will recap my Easter holiday too. Happy Friday and cheers to the weekend.
