Happy Friday! Cheers to the weekend! What a long week but one thing is for sure, we made it and that should be celebrated.
Checking in for Good Health
I was able to go to the doctors. I’m happy to report that I got a good bill of health. That makes me so happy. That wasn’t the case years ago. I was dealing with excessive weight and a long list of unhealthy habits. With hard work and even with the pandemic eating and drinking all is well. I have to admit while talking to my doctor I got emotional. I also got my COVID-19 vaccination.
COVID–19 Vaccination
I got my first dose of the COVID-19 vaccination. I have to admit I wasn’t nervous but cautious. The initial shot wasn’t bad. I did have a headache and exhaustion. I had the Pfizer vaccination. After a little nap I was better and all seemed well. Let me be clear, the desire to get the vaccination is a personal decision. I do not believe everyone should get it if they don’t want it. For me, my children are my reasons. Two of my three kids have severe asthma. I want to do all I can to protect myself and them. My husband should be getting his second vaccination soon so that we as a team are protected.
Stress and Honesty-March Goals
I’ve had to be extremely honest with myself this week. I was feeling emotional at moments that didn’t make sense. Taking time out to give myself some grace has been extremely helpful. Taking that time for a Starbucks run while listening to podcast was one of the ways I practiced self-care. Self-care as I’ve stated before goes well beyond facials and pedicures. It’s the ability to tap into self to give yourself what you need moment by moment.
Motivation
I’m a big champion of finding ways to motivate yourself. This for me is in what I listen to, conversations, books, music, etc. Also taking charge on social media to provide motivation is equally important. Although I do love finding great products that are amazing as well as a great drink here and there, I want to make sure that this blog or my social media reflects both.
So I’ve been adding clear cut motivation on my social media platforms. If you follow me on Instagram I’ve dedicated a whole story highlight with curated motivation. Check it out! Also on Pinterest in my story pins. Also of course on Facebook.
