Happy Friday. Today is National Give Something Away day. Happy Heavenly birthday to my Mother in Law, Debra. May you continue to rest in peace. I hope your week has been great. It’s Friday and my week has been super busy. With that being said, let’s recap the week’s ups and downs.
Friday Content Creation Tip
I am going to do as many tips as I can to help an up and becoming Content Creator. Everyone talks about the high points like viral posts, brand partnerships, and more. They don’t tell you about how creating can be draining. It can and it is. This week alone since I also create content for companies that don’t go on my website or socials, I have to sometimes edit things more times than I want. If you are creating understand that is apart of the process. This is why you charge your fees. It’s time consuming. Don’t be afraid to charge what you’re worth and add a little more. I look forward to this weekend where the content I create will be more geared to all of you vs companies.
Friday Movies
Today Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris is out. It follows Mrs. Harris as she goes to Paris in pursuit of a Dior dress. The adventure that ensues is nothing short of a love story meets perseverance and wit. This is the movie that you grab your best of friends, do drinks and dinner and relax to. I loved it. Honestly I see a lot of movies from a lot of genres. This movie although I attended the advance screening of I would pay to see it again. Get your tickets at your nearest theatre and enjoy it.
Thank you to Allied for having me but also providing the most awesome pre movie fun. We were able to be drawn by Denise Fike. She is amazing at her recreations.
We also designed our own couture cookie dress. It was fun to be creative and eat what we made. There were French pastries as well wine and champagne. I enjoyed it and it brought an instant smile to our faces the whole night.
Paws of Fury
For the family, make sure you see Paws of Fury. It is a lot of fu for the whole family. It’s one of those movies where its fun for the kids but even more fun for the adults. It follows a dog who becomes the town’s Samurai. As always the underdog always win. The movie is high energy from start to finish. Allied supplied some premovie fun by having us do all kinds of fun activities and we loved them.
Baby Shower Fun
I attended a Baby Shower for my family members and it was a lot of fun. I really loved how it brought a lot of us together. Some of my family I hadn’t seen in years and not just because of the pandemic. So I loved watching my kids interact with them. They smiled and laughed a lot. I really love seeing life through the eyes of my children. My hope is to have great moments like it was this weekend. I took just my daughters with me to Maryland. It was a lot of fun to take that short road trip. We had amazing snacks, sang songs, and really just enjoyed one another’s presence. A special blessing to the new baby that is on its way. May the delivery be safe and the baby healthy. Congrats Cousins!
To Kill A Mockingbird
The Kimmel Center has the Broadway showing of To Kill a Mockingbird. It is showcasing from now until July 24th. If you watched the original movie you know it’s about a Black man that goes on trial for raping a White woman. He didn’t rape her and was falsely accused but because he was Black and she was White it was easier to wrongfully convict him. Sadly a lot of those themes still happen today. I was invited to attend the showing of the original movie ahead of the Broadway show. It featured the cast including Mary Badham who played Scout. I loved the discussion before the showing of the original movie. Thank you to the Kimmel Center and Allied for having me. Get your tickets now.
Philadelphia Magazine’s InPHLuencer Soiree
I was invited to attend the InPHLuencer Soiree and it was an entire vibe. There were several brand represented, Bacardi, Primark, Coppola Wine, and more. It was a who’s who of influencers, writers, bloggers, and more in the city. I loved seeing people who I admire in their content creation and seeing them in person was that much better. There was plenty of food, drinks, as well as activations. From the bouncy house, amazing DJ, and more.
Thank you to Philly Magazine for having me. Also I like to note how many influencers they had in one place. It was great to be in a place that catered to all of us. Lilah Events is an amazing and beautiful space. So if you are looking to throw an event I would suggest adding them to your list.

Let’s find a way to be and do better.
Blogs you Missed this Week
We have been busy. So in case you missed this week’s blogs here they are:
People’s Light: The Vinegar Tree
So as you can see we have been very busy. However not too busy to take time out for yourself. I went and made sure to add in some time for a nail and hair appointment. I did some reading this week, and enjoyed being outdoors with the kids this week. This weekend I look forward to the Philadelphia Zoo’s Summer Ale. Get your tickets for Sunday. It’s a beer fests inside of the Zoo for 21 and over only-no kids allowed. It will be a hot one so don’t forget your sunscreen. Outside of that I have some family events with the kids, some much needed shopping, and some relaxation coming up. Enjoy your weekend.
