Happy Friday and cheers to the weekend! Oh what a week we have had as media events have increased. In addition to that crushing goals along the way. Here’s what has been happening.
EgoPo Classic Theatre
Last Friday I went to EgoPo Classic Theater’s Wine in the Wilderness show. It’s an amazing story of being a Black woman. Things like identity, acceptance, and more. It’s one of the most moving pieces I’ve seen in quite some time. This is a must see and the show is in production until this Sunday! You can catch my review. Thanks to the entire production team, staff, and artist for their warm welcome.
Helping Others Succeed
I had an amazing opportunity to help a fellow upcoming Foodie. She is an amazing chef and it’s always a great thing when you can help others with some of the behind the scenes that help with posting and social media know how’s. There wasn’t many that took me under my wing and helped me. So I love being able to pay it forward. To be honest I do this often and there are some that will take your advice and thrive and others who want.
Good Bad & Ugly
The new Western, dive bar and speakeasy is now in West Chester, Pa called Good Bad & Ugly. It’s a really great spot to meet friends, happy hours, relax, or simply come to decompress after a long day. The food is outstanding. Some bars that you visit their food is mediocre but not at Good Bad & Ugly. It’s really delicious and flavorful. So make sure you add this to your places to visit. They also have pool tables and it’s a great place to have a little fun while enjoying drinks that don’t cost you an arm and a leg.
Hair Care and Self Care
Can we talk about taking time even in a busy week? It’s important for natural upkeep as well as self care to be consistent in your time. Self care is the best way for me personally to battle my levels of anxiety or depression. I’ve been honest about my journey. The easiest way for me to go left is to be caught up is to focus on all areas of my life and neglect me. I do my best to take care of me in mind, body, and spirit. So taking that time to get my hair done this week was a small part of my self care.

There’s a new love story and breakup movie and it’s called I Want You Back. It’s stars Charlie Day and Jenny Slate as they are respectively dumped. Their journey to get their exes back may or may not bring them closer together. I was invited to attend a special screening and it was so much fun. We had the perfect breakup snacks. They provided Jenni’s Ice-cream, popcorn, drinks including wine and cocktails. We also received the cutest break up kit as a gift. I Want You Back comes out February 11th on Prime Video. Don’t worry I’ll remind you!

Snow Dreams? Friday Storm Warning
This weekend most of our area is under a snow storm warning. We are expected to get snow starting tonight. So like my Grandfather would say “make sure you have gas in your car, get what you need, and then get off the roads!” Be careful. Stay safe and warm.
