Happy Friday and cheers to the weekend. I don’t know about you but this short week was pretty busy. So what were the highs and lows of the week?
Short Week Vibes
This week was short as far as work load is concerned. Martin Luther King Jr. birthday observance was Monday. Many observed his birthday by being off of work. Some did community service projects or just enjoyed their time off. We spent it watching documentaries that our kids could understand while enjoying some down time. Also the kids loved that this was their first week back to school and it was a short one. So I hope your Monday was full of goodness.
Media Events
I attended the opening of A Streetcar named Desire at Arden Theatre. It was an amazing time with my friend, who I mention often here, Elle. We enjoyed the show. You can click on the link for the review. Theatre is back and we wish the entire staff, actors, actresses, and production team a healthy showcase. The production is here until February 13th. Grab your tickets.
Tonight I will be attending Bluver Theatre at the Drake to see EgoPo’s Wine in the Wilderness. I am excited to be actively back in theatre again. The play opens tonight and is in production until January 30th. Get your tickets so you don’t miss it. As always to attend the live show please provide proof of vaccination as well as wear your mask. They also have a virtual ticket option too.
Media events have started to stack up again starting next week. So far I have 4 events on the calendar. So be on the lookout for the behind the scenes look. I will be safely back to business starting next week. That includes projects that I have been tapped to do. The increase has been amazingly beautiful.

Conversations with Toi Friday Podcast Drop
Fridays mean podcast drops. So as we get into the weekend we have to talk about Spit Gate. If you are unaware what Spit Gate is ( I made that up) but its based on Pastor Michael Todd who decided to spit during his sermon and wiped it on his (reportedly) his biological brother. Spitting is nasty no matter who it is. So you can hear my take on it. We Also talk about personal accountability. The conversation on being the friend or person who “keeps it real.” Make sure you share, review, and subscribe to the podcast.
Week’s Goals
This week I want to shout out the 3 things that I have done that gave me pure joy to complete my goals. One was my water intake. I got a new cup from SheMedia the partnership that I am. It’s an insulated 40oz cup that you can drink cold or hot drinks. Its amazing in every way and I love it. The other goal that I am hyped over is I landed a partnership that I absolutely love. Lastly, I was just present with my family. Being able to be with them, hear and see them was a blessing.
Weekend Vibes
This weekend I am going to try to do my vision board. I know tonight much won’t get done since I will be at the play. We shall see how far we get with the vision board on Saturday. Also I plan to meal prep and get the house together for the busy week flow of next week. So its back to make up, dressing up, and being prepared. I am preparing a blog post for next week now that I have gotten some new blogging/podcast equipment. I have both high end and low end gadgets that I will share.
Have a great weekend. Blogs will be prepped this weekend too. Again, getting content done for the rest of the month and I have already prepped Valentine’s Day content for February. I will be making the announcement for Women’s History Month too.
