Happy Friday and when I say I’m grateful for it being Friday I truly mean it. This was week was trying in every way so what were the highs and lows? Here’s the recap!
Friday Terror
So this has never happened since I had my blog but this week I experienced my blog going offline for 12 hours. I would be lying if I tried to act like it was not a big deal because it was. I tried everything to get it back online to no avail. After several calls to my hosting site-Bluehost and some interesting exchanges we are back up. Interesting enough I have blogged this week for 7 days straight including today. The day that it went down I of course had low views. The views were only apart of it. My issue was having 7 years worth of work just sitting and in accessible.
I am glad that we are back and rocking this morning. I will continue to monitor the site. If you notice anything feel free to email me at [email protected]
Mainline Today Restaurant Week
On Monday February 21, 2022 Mainline Today’s restaurant week starts. We personally dined as a preview at Davio’s as well as the newest location Pizzeria Vetri in King of Prussia. They are going to both have amazing food and great service. They both are feet apart from each other as well. This restaurant week will begin Monday and end on March March 6th. The 3 course meals will either be $38.95 per person for dinner or 26.95 for lunch. These are great steals and a great way to continue to help the restaurant industry.
Here is a sneak peak at the Free Range Crispy Chicken with prosciutto cotto, Fontina, Spinach, and Creamy Risotto from Davio’s:
Also at Pizzeria Vetri they want to wow you with their pizza and cocktails but they also have entertainment too. Like a Sip and Paint, Bring your dog and more. There’s no reservation needed for Pizzeria Vetri. For Davio’s I would highly recommend a reservation. The night of the preview we had a closed off room. All of the seating was occupied in the main sitting area.
Finding Fassbender
I attended the showing of Finding Fassbender with Inis Nua last Sunday. If you haven’t seen it read the review and book your ticket. It ends on February 27th. You aren’t going to want to miss out on it.
My Youngest Birthday
We celebrated my youngest daughter’s birthday yesterday. As a parent it’s important to make their days special. We made sure that she had all kinds of fun at school. She choose dinner as well as we decorated the entire house. I always decorate the house for their birthdays. Let them feel super special as they wake up. Our tradition is to wake them up with balloons as we play Stevie Wonder’s Happy Birthday to them. I remember the day I had her and all of the labor trials that took place. I had a blood clot in my brain and my care was elevated because of it. The winds and turns of postpartum care wasn’t easy. I am just glad that she is here, safe, blessed, and loved.
Valentine’s Day
I can tell my husband and I are getting to a beautiful level of love with one another. We didn’t celebrate Valentine’s Day until Tuesday. We bought each other gifts and the kids opened their gifts on Monday but I ended up falling asleep on the couch and he was working. On Tuesday we celebrated and it was low key and perfect for us. We have plans to go out for a traditional date tonight. It was perfect. If this had been when we first got together we would have had all of the perfection of a whatever was deemed a perfect night. As you get older romance is still alive but you just don’t place as a large stock on the expressions. We did what worked for us and I always encourage others to do the same.
Conversations with Toi Friday Podcast Drop
Today’s podcast episode is a great one for business owners or those inspiring to be a business owner. Even if you aren’t you know that when I talk to anyone there are always gems for everyone dropping. Today’s guest is Steve Taylor. Make sure you review, share, subscribe, and listen in.
Steve Taylor is a former Navy Lieutenant and Naval Academy graduate who proudly served afloat and ashore for seven years following graduation.
Upon completion of his military service, Steve began a career in high tech and consumer electronics. While enjoying a healthy career, he began to look into franchising and small business ownership as a way to insulate himself from the vagaries of technology and large business. He purchased his first franchise during the ‘great recession, eventually building it into one of the top units in a large system, selling a majority interest in 2019
Realizing his passion and interests were evaluating and exploring the vast opportunities in franchising and then sharing this knowledge, Steve joined the FCC team as a partner. He genuinely enjoys “evangelizing” the American Dream as embodied in Franchise and Small Business Ownership while helping clients both visualize and realize a better quality of life.
As a franchise consultant, Steve is dedicated to providing his clients with the most thorough and honest guidance possible.
Steve lives in Pleasanton, California with his wife with their three children (including twins). In his spare time, Steve enjoys cooking, skiing with his kids and traveling throughout the state and beyond.
Steve’s Personal Statement
I absolutely believe that the best way to transform our communities and ultimately, our country is by identifying, enabling, and creating a new class of business owners. In some ways, the franchise model and military veterans are purpose-made for each other. On one hand, you have a model that comes with a ready-made template for success – on the other, you have a group of people that know how to follow a process, persevere through adversity, and seize opportunities while remaining creative and focused. My passion is to identify opportunities and resources and match them with veterans and others that have a desire to change the trajectory of their lives and their communities while achieving something out of the ordinary for themselves and their families. You can find Steve on Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter.
